Derek woke up a while later. Unfortunately he was not in the same place that he was when Victoria knocked him out in the apartment earlier. His face still hurt as he woke up. Derek pressed his hand against the left side of his face. He groaned and then sat up to find his soon to be ex-fiancée (if he could figure out how to break it off with her without him dying) standing at the end of the bed that wasn't his. She was now wearing a pink dress. He looked at her, "Where am I?" He asked her.
"My fathers mansion, get your ass up so we can go down to the party people are already here!" She snapped at him.
Derek felt his pockets as he sat up all the way. The first thing he noticed was that he was in completely different clothing. A white shirt and black suit pants, his wallet, his car keys, and his phone was also missing. He looked at her as he was getting up, "Before I get out of this bed answer me two questions. How'd I get here and where is my wallet, phone, and keys?"
Victoria laughed and then bit her lip, "I took them so you can't ever leave, Martin helped me move you here after the mirror fell on top of you," she smirked. Derek turned his head the other way to find a mirror on the other side of the bed. His face had a nice bruise on it and boy did it hurt. He rubbed his hand on it and then turned his head back around.
Derek looked at her and then sighed. He was a little mad that Martin helped her move his body to the mansion. Thought a second thought came, maybe there was something that happened that caused Martin to help move him.
He got out of the bed and she grabbed his arm. She had a tight grip on him. It bothered Derek that he still hadn't broken things off with her. He was about to this afternoon and then she cried and clobbered him with his own mirror.
Derek and Victoria made their way to the top of the stairs. Victoria smiled at all the guests that were downstairs. Derek spotted Martin and Grace from the top step and gave him a quick smile even though he was still a little mad.
The two eventually made their way downstairs. Derek tried to skate off immediately to go find Martin and Grace again but Victoria still had a tight grip on him.
Instead Martin and Grace found him. Victoria was socializing with the other guests so she wasn't paying attention to what was going on. Martin walked to him and whispered in his ear, " I'm so sorry she threatened the two of us earlier, so we had to help."
Derek leaned his head back. Then he looked at Martin and whispered back, "It's fine, get me the number for the tuxedo shop though, I wanna call Kate and see if I can find a way out of here."
Martin nodded and then grabbed Grace. The two took off into the kitchen while Derek and Victoria continued to be outside.
As Derek stood with Victoria he all of a sudden heard her cry out, "Daddy!"
Derek's head whipped around and he found her father making his way towards them. He swallowed as her father came over to them. He was short and was wearing a black suit. His hair was gray and was very thin almost bald on the top. His eyes were brown. He smiled seeing his daughter and future son in law.
Victoria let go of Derek and hugged her father. Derek was about to make a quick get away to the kitchen but her father put out his hand to shake his. Derek gave him a quick smile, "Hello sir," he started with a squeak in his voice.
"Please call me Dad," he started with a smile, "Victoria's told me so much about you, I'm so glad we have these next few months to get to know each other."
Derek had never personally met Victoria's father but he had been to the dinner parties that had been thrown in the past.
As Victoria and her father started talking Derek felt something get slipped into his pocket and he knew exactly what it was.
"A dear I have to use the bathroom," He told her as he pulled her away from her father.
"I'll go with you," She told him.
"No, no, that's okay, I can do it myself," He told her.
"I've seen you naked, Let me come with you!" She told him through gritted teeth.
"I promise I'll be right back," He told her as he ran up the stairs.
Derek ran upstairs to the bathroom. He closed the door and locked it. Though he did turn around notice that the bathroom led the bedroom that he woke up in. He tipped-toe out of the bathroom to closed the bedroom door. As he did he walked to the side of the bed that had the phone line on it. He reached into his pocket to pull out the slip of paper that he was secretly given by Grace and Martin.
Derek pulled it out and punched in the number of the tuxedo shop.
It rang and it rang and it rang and then someone finally answered, "Hello, this is Jesses Tuxedo rental store, Catherine speaking how may I help you?"
Derek smiled and then swallowed before he spoke.
