Uma had retreated into the back room, not wanting to be there when Sam and Harry interacted.
"Coward." Sam muttered as Harry grinned taking a seat next to her.
"Hi Sam." Harry said. "Haven't seen ya in a while."
"You saw me yesterday." Sam pointed out. "And the day before and the day before that."
"That's not what I meant." Harry said. "You don't talk to me when I see you."
"I'm literally talking to you right now." Sam said, rolling her eyes.
"And you time yourself so that you can be here when I'm not." Harry said.
"I do not." Sam said. "You just happen not to be there."
"You miss me, Sassy." Harry said. "Just admit it."
"Why should I admit it if you won't?" Sam said. "It doesn't always have to me running back to you. You're never sorry you did it. You're always just sorry I find out. You always are."
His left arm with his hook stretched out to caress her cheek. Sam grabbed his wrist, pushing it away from her. Harry's grin faltered.
"You know Sam." Harry said. "If I we're you I'd give in. It'd save so much time and all the fuss."
"If you were me I'd be ugly." Sam retorted. "I don't need you Harry,"
"I am not ugly." Harry said, placing a hand over his heart. "It hurts me for you to say that when you said so yourself. And you do need me, you're just too stubborn to admit it."
"I never said that." Sam said. "I don't mean anything to you and you don't mean anything to me. You gave me up so easily and I am not coming back for you. I'm not your second choice, Har."
"You'll never find anyone like me, darling." Harry said as Sam smiled, her eyes changing from brown to gold and back again. Harry scooted away slightly.
"That's the point darling." Sam said, blowing a bubble with her gum, tilting her head to the side. "Now be a dear and turn on the TV."
Harry only glared, pushing a pirate out of his seat and walking across the table, jumping down , and turning on the TV.
It showed perfect little Mal with her new blonde hair with washed out purple tips, and her kingly boyfriend, Ben chatting away about their plans, as the Cotillion drew nearer.
Uma entered from the back, tossing Harry a tray, a scowl formed on her face. She elbowed him, and took a handful of food and tossed it at the TV.
"Poser." Uma growled, satisfied as the food stuck onto the screen showing Mal's face, all smiles. It made her want to gag.
"Traitor!" Harry added, setting his hook on the table and eating his food. Sam reaches out and picked it up, feeling Harry's eyes following her every move.
"Idiot." Sam said, joining in with their insults, twirling the hook on her finger.
"Hello?" Uma called to the other pirates in the shop. They too started throwing food at the screen, calling out insults that were too jumbled together to understand. Sam set the hook back on the table, which Harry grabbed quickly, before she could do anything else with it.
"Oh, I would love to wipe the smiles off their faces." Harry said, wiping the food Uma had thrown at the TV on the screen and eating it. "You know what I mean?"
"Gil!" Uma said, slapping him. "You want to quit choking down yolks and get with the program?"
"Yeah. What they said." Gil mumbled, his mouth filled with food.
"That's disgusting Gil." Sam said, as Gil shrugged, swallowing the food that was in his mouth.
"That little traitor, who left us in the dirt." Uma vented turning to look at Harry and Sam.
"Who turned her back on evil." Harry added.
"Who said you weren't big or bad enough to be in her gang." Gil said as everyone turned to look at him. "Back when we were kids. Come on, you guys remember. She called her Shrimpy, and the name just kind of." Uma glared at him, daring him to finish. ".... stuck."
"That snooty little witch, who grabbed everything she wanted and left me nothing." Uma said, turning her back on Gil.
"No, she left you that sandbox, and then she said that you could have the shrimp-." Gil said, not taking the hint.
"I need you to stop talking." Uma said, pounding her hand on the table.
"Look, we have her turf now. They can stay in Bore-adon." Harry said, trying to reason with Uma, who shook her head.
"That's her turf now, Har." Sam said, motioning to the tv screen that Uma abruptly turned off.
"And I want it, too. We should not be getting her leftovers." Uma said. "Son of Hook." Uma placed a hand on Harry's shoulder. "Daughter of Smee." Uma nodded at Sam. "Son of Gaston." She placed her other hand on Gil's shoulder. "And me, most of all, daughter of Ursula!"
She turned to Harry, smirking evilly. "What's my name?"
Harry took of his hat over dramatically, kneeling and looking up at her.
"Uma." He said, in a low voice.
"What's my name?" She asked turning to Sam, who tapped her nails on the counter, looking briefly at Uma.
"Uma." Sam said, not caring for what she was about to do next. Someone needed to stop her. It was too annoying.
"What's my name?" Uma asked Gil, who looked at her blankly.
"Mm..Uma?" Gil asked, food still in his mouth.
"What's my name? What's my name?" Uma shouted.
"Uma!" The shop sang back as they broke out into song for the millionth time. It felt too repetitive anyway. She didn't know how many more times she could hear it and not roll her eyes at Uma's dream, which would probably crash and burn at her feet. At least that was how it had always worked. That's it had always worked when she and Mal "fought" anyway. It did get old.
