Sam walked through the halls of Serpent Prep, where she was supposed to be going to school, not that it mattered.

She walked down the many flights of stairs that led down to where the younger children were taught. In a basement.

Sam had always hated going down there, it left an unsettling feeling that she couldn't really place.

Children stood, some not knowing where they could go, some waiting for someone to take them where they needed to go and some there just to be there. The education was trash, you couldn't really learn much, not even bothering to teach them how it read.

So Sam had taken it upon herself to teach her brothers how to count and how to write and how to read. It seemed pointless, not many people even knew how, but if she knew how, they'd know how too.

All the children would go to school, not to learn but to be there just to be there, all being afraid of what the older kids might do to them.

There had been a time, when the twins had come home with black eyes, tears streaming down their faces. Harry had said all kids went through that, and that they'd get used to it. But Sam had made them take her to the person who dared hurt them, and had left the boy crying, running home to complain to his mother who didn't care. After that, nobody dared try to hurt them, all afraid of what would happen if she found out or if Sammy found out. He had some temper issues when he found anyone had harmed his siblings, she'd found that out when she was younger.

She'd found it funny how quickly they could change. From being the feared one, to being the one who feared. Nobody dared cross the daughter of the Evil Queen, that was until Evie tarnished the name and had made her mother, and the other parents of the traitorous VKs, hiding to avoid the taunts about how they'd failed to prepare their children in Evil.

"Sam!" Squeaky said, giving her a hug.

"Hi Squeaks." Sam said.

"Sam." Squirmy said, hugging her.

"Squirmy." Sam said.

"Can we just go home?" Squeaky asked. "I don't want to be here anymore."

"Fine." Sam said, offering her hand to Squeaky, who shook his head.

"I don't want to hold your hand today."

"Okay," Sam said, offering her hand to Squirmy, who also shook his head.

"I'm not holding your hand." Squirmy said as they exited the school.

They walked in silence all the way back to the Shop, as the boys seemed to not want to retell the tale of their time at school.

"Bye Sam." Squeaky said as he and Squirmy boarded the boat.

"Bye." Sam said, waving as she walked back into the shop. She sat on the stool contemplating her life.

That couldn't be true. Not here. Not on the Isle of the Lost.

The first symptoms had started a few weeks ago, but Sam hadn't laid it any mind. She'd thought she'd just eaten something bad and that she'd been throwing up for that reason.

But as weeks progressed she was throwing up more and more.

So she'd done the most logical thing and went to see the Enchantress.

"Sam darling." The Enchantress had said. "So nice of you to pay little old me a visit. What do you need apples?"

"No." Sam said.

"So how are you and the Hook boy?" The Enchantress asked with a coy smile.

"Fine." Sam said. "Why'd you ask?"

She got up from the table Sam were sitting at and went over to one of the bins where some of her potions were.

"Are you feeling well these days?"She asked with her back at her, not turning around.

"Uh.." Sam was even more confused now."Actually not really. Did my mom tell you something?""

"Oh no, darling. I never discuss our meetings with anyone, even with your mom, you know that."

"Well how did you know something's wrong then?"

"A witch, remember?"She smiled at Sam, coming back to sit at the table. She slid a small bottle on the table and placed it in front of her. "Us witches got to stick together you know? Look out for each other."

"What's that?"Sam questioned, taking it in her hand, examining it.

"That's for the pain, it won't make it go away fully, but it will definitely help you."She stood up once again, going back to her potions."Besides it's not one of these concoctions, that Medea sells to her customers. I'm so glad you came to me because the stuff she is selling are just awful."

"Wait a second. Why would I got to her?"

"Now, now. It's not that bad, you know? Besides I think you're ready. Well, at least you are. I'm not sure about that boyfriend of yours though."The Enchantress said, still rearranging her potions and  bottles."Trust me you don't have to-."

She turned around to look at Sam, but Sam was long gone, stormed out before she could finish her sentence, Sam had heard enough.

She couldn't be pregnant could she? Not here. Not here. She didn't want her daughter growing up here. She didn't even want herself to have grown up here not that she had the choice.

She'd kept that secret for weeks but it seemed the Enchantress had told it.

When she'd told her she would never share their conversations.

Sam had tried to tell Harry but she couldn't find the courage to say it. What if he left her again? She didn't want that to happen. Not that they were together when she found out or together now.

She shook the thoughts out of her head, sighing as she made her way out the door, hollering to Captain Hook that it was his turn to run his own shop before making her way to Ursula's to maybe apologize to Uma because she was starting to feel bad about their argument.

Uma was her best friend, she would never let anything happen to her, at least that was what Uma told her.
