Chapter 4: Riley's Mission and Team Magma again

"Riley." Yue exclaimed. She was happy to see her friend from the Sinnoh Region again. It had been two years since they last saw each other, it was when Yue helped Ash battled Team Galactic.

Riley also helped Yue when she was lost inside Iron Island. It was their first meeting and somehow, they quickly became close friends. Riley was an Aura Guardian in training while Yue was training to be a Pokémon Master.

Riley's Lucario also took a liking towards Yue, it said that Yue's aura was special and it will achieve far greater things than anyone in the continent. Though they communicate with each other, it was different when they talked in person.

"Moon." Riley said with a smile. He, too was happy to see his close friend. When he heard from Ash about Yue's journey in Hoenn, he quickly asked for her location. Luckily, her location was also near his, actually Riley was also in Rustboro City. To be specific, he just exited Devon Corp. when he saw Yue walking away from the gym.

Yue laughed when she heard Riley called her with the childish nickname he gave her. It originated from her name, Yue which means Moon while her cousin calls her Miyu from her first name; Miyuki. Yue's other friends also gave her nicknames.

Gary Oak, Yue and Ash's childhood friend call her 'Snow' from her name Miyuki which means 'deep snow' while her friends and neighbor in Kalos call her 'Lil' Yue'. Ah, so many nickname that some of it were childish like Zuli, which her grand father call her.

However she didn't detest it. In fact, she very much love it. It made Yue feel closer to those people who gave her things that money can never buy; knowledge, love, friendship, loyalty and support.

"It's been awhile Riley, good to see you. You too Lucario."

Lucario bowed in return.

"Em! Emolga!"

"Glaceon!"

"Good to see you too Moon, Emolga and Glaceon. I see that you're planning to collect gym badges here in Hoenn."

"Yes, I am. Anyway, what are you doing here?"

"I'm here for a mission." Riley said in a serious tone. The smile on his face vanished.

Yue frowned.

"And what mission is that?"

"It's about--"

However, Riley was cut off from a loud voice from behind.

"THIEF! T-THIEF! S-S-STOP THE T-THIEF!"
Yue saw a familiar looking researcher running sluggish as he was out of breath. Too focus on running, he passed by Yue and Riley and continue his chase, which Yue believe to be a Team Magma grunt, seeing a familiar red suit disappearing towards Route 116.

"It's Team Magma." Riley said in distaste.

"You know them?" Yue asked.

"Yeah, they are related to my mission here in Hoenn. Actually, Team Magma is my mission along with another organization; Team Aqua."

"Team Aqua? There's another one?"

"Yes. Team Aqua and Team Magma are the two main organization in Hoenn. Similar to Team Galactic, they plan to change the world by using the Legendary Pokémon. Team Aqua's goal is to expand the amount of water while Team Magma's goal is to expand the amount of land. By doing it, they plan to awaken and take control over the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre and Groudon."

"Expand the land and water? Aren't they destroying mother nature? If there is too much land, it will bring drought due to the lack of water in seas while expanding the amount of water means the lack of land to live. Aren't their goal too intense? It's like destroying the world!" Yue felt scared if both organization achieve either of their goal. Not only will the humans suffer but the one who are most affected are the Pokémon living in both land and water.
