11. New Years Kiss (G.D)

Y/'s POV:

My best friend, Grayson Dolan, invited me as his plus 1 to a new years party that one of his friends made, Ethan came as well

Ethan, Grayson and I were in the car listening to music and having fun

"So, Y/n, any plans on having a new years kiss tonight?" asked Ethan, I shook my head

"Nope, no one would ever want to kiss me, I haven't even had my first kiss" I said with a small laugh

"Oh come on! I'm sure there's someone in the party who wants to kiss you!" said Grayson

I bursted laughing 

"Alright, give me one name right now who would want to kiss me at the New Year's countdown" I said and waited for either Ethan or Grayson to say a name

I was kind of hoping for Grayson to say he wanted to kiss me. I've had the biggest crush on Grayson for such a long time and I've been wanting to kiss him for so long. But, I was scared that he would hate me and it would affect our friendship, which I didn't want that to happen

We finally arrived at the party and started laughing, dancing, eating and having a blast with everyone. There were even games like Truth or Dare, Spin the Bottle, and other types of fun games like that

There was 2 minutes left on the clock until New Years, I was a bit tired so I was just looking at the TV and waiting for it to be New Years

I felt a tap on my shoulder, so I turned around to see it's Grayson

"Hey Gray! What's up?" I asked

"Nothing much, look there's something I need to tell you" he said, I nodded, signaling him to continue

"I've had a crush on you for years now, and I've been wanting to kiss you on the countdown for a while. I know that you don't feel the same and that I may have destroyed our friendship and you might not want to kiss me, but I just wanted to tell you this" he said then looked down

I was in complete shock, I had no idea that the Grayson Dolan would want like me the way that I like him

"Why do you like me?" I asked

He looked up

"Attraction has reasons, love doesn't." he paused and my eyes widen

"Y/n, I love you because I have an emotion called love, on showering this emotion on someone makes everything look beautiful fills life with enthusiasm. Loving you makes me love life now you may ask what made me to choose you to shower this emotion of me, and I don't have a reason; because reason may fade away with time and I don't want my love to fade away ever." he then looked down, feeling ashamed that he told me the truth

At that moment, that exact moment, I knew that I was in love with him

I heard someone started yelling out the seconds left 

"15.. 14... 13..." 

I cupped Grayson's neck, making him look up at me, I send him a smile and he saw my eyes tearing up, he held onto my waist and look at me with so much love. This is exactly what I've been wanting for such a long time

"5... 4... 3... 2... 1" 

We kissed, it's just that simple. Sparks flew, fireworks were exploding literally outside and in my stomach, my heart was bursting and my love for Grayson was going all over the place

I've been feeling like this since the day that I met him. I just didn't know that was called love

We pulled away, needing air, even though he always takes my breath away

"I love you" he whispered

"I love you too" I whispered as well, kissing him again

"THAT'S MY BOY!" We heard Ethan and his friends cheering the both of us, making us giggle and kiss again, making them howl louder
