Ch. 15

I ran up the court practicing my layups with the rest of the team. We were taking it easy today since it's friday. My team formed a line leading to center court to practice free throws. I went to the back of the line with Lucy.

"Ay look your girlfriend does read."

I looked to my side where Lucy was pointing at Camila. She was sitting at the top stands reading a book away from the desperate girls. Her hair formed a curtain on her left side.

"Shut up. She's rich not dumb." I said watching one of my teammates attempt a three poniter.

"So are you excited?"

"About what?"

"Seeing your girlfriend in a bikini"

I looked at her confused.

"Oh don't tell me you haven't noticed that booty and that body of hers"

I really haven't, I'm not just staring at girls ass all the time.

I looked back up to Camila, she must have felt me staring. She looked at me and crossed her eyes sticking her tongue out. I giggled and looked back to the court.

"So?" Lucy asked again. I turned to look at her, did she say something?

"What?" She sighed and shook her head in defeat.

"Lauren your on my team." Ally yelled out as I walked down the pool steps.

"No that's not fair!!" Alexa yelled from the other side of the pool.

"You already have Ari!!!" Lucy yelled out aswell. We were about to play volleyball. I was on Ally's team with Ariana while Alexa and Lucy are on the other.

"But Ari and I count as one!!!" Ally yelled back with her hands on her hips.

"Lauren you serve." Ariana passed me the ball. I served it to Lucy and she bounced it off her arms over the net. It was going towards Ally, she tried to jump for it but it was too high for her.

Ally groaned making us all laugh.

After losing two times in a row I got out to check on Camila. The girls were still playing around.

"Are you really just gunna tan?" I sat on the floor next to Camila. She was laid down on a towel that was on the grass not too far from the pool.

"Yup. You should try it. Your really white." She said with her eyes closed facing the sky.

"I don't tan, I just get red."

"Aww" She cooed and sat up smiling dusting off her towel.

"I'm going to change, it's getting late and we don't necessarily live around the corner." I got up and Camila followed.

"LAUREN YOU LEAVING??" Ally asked from the edge of the pool.

"YUP"

"BYE!!" All four of my friends said in unison.

I left Camila at her house and walked to mines. I almost tripped over something on the floor.

"What's this?" I asked my mom looking down at the sleeping bags.

"Your sleeping bags." She said smiling packing bags with clothes.

"Don't tell me we're going camping?" I groaned. I hate camping I just despise it.

"Yeah, the Cabello's invited us." She said smiling, she turned serious and sat on the couch motioning me to join her. I dropped my bags and walked over to sit next to her.

"Honey..." She took a hold of my hand. "Sinu and I were talking....and she told me Karla has difficulty making friends. And I know how you have a good group of friends. That maybe you could include her? Do you see her around?"

"Uhh yeah. Just a hi and bye." I said nervously. She gave me a proud smile.

"Well I don't know if you know this but Karla had a hard time in middle school and instead of going to the local high school Sinu sent her over to Carrollton. To start fresh. You two have been seeing a lot of each other these days and I wanted you to get to know her so she doesn't feel like she's alone."

I nodded. I was speechless with all this new information.

"Sinu told me Karla spends all day inside her room watching videos or reading. She doesn't talk about friends or anything about school. I'm not forcing you to turn into her best friend but maybe just..... friends." She said with hope.

I slowly nodded. And tried to register everything she just said. Camila was bullied. Why? And who would do such things? Yes, Camila is annoying but not enough to bully her. Plus she's hot and gorgeous and amazing and incredible and just beautiful..... but straight.

"Thank you honey." My mom said hugging me.

"But why are we going camping?"

I said standing up.

"Sinu wanted you and Karla to get to know each other outside of school so she wont feel too awkward." I nodded again and headed to the kitchen. I need a moment to let this all sync in.

"Got to sleep. Your already late, we're waking up early tomorrow." Uggh. Another sleepless Saturday!!!
