"Hi." Camila said coming up behind me. She wore some skinny jeans, converse, and a tee shirt, something she always wears at home. I was kneeling down by the tent that was scattered on the floor.
"Hey"I went back to setting up my tent. Camila kneeled down besides me and grabbed the tent but she just fumbled with her hands pretending to help me. She looked down at her hands pretending to be interested in it.
"I know you know why we're here. It wasn't my idea, I found out when I got home. Just pretend like you sorta like me. Don't act like we're best friends yet, save that till then end." Camila murmured not looking at me.
"More lies." I hissed back.
"Just pretend." She whispered yelled. I sighed and shook my head going back to set up my tent.
I stood up trying to get the tent to stand up. Camila stepped back to watch.
"I know about middle school." I said not looking at her. She staid quiet.
"Oh sweetie you got it up. I forgot to tell you you'll be sharing with Taylor and Camila." I turned to look at Camila and she looked surprised.
"Yeah. Remember what I told you." My mom said leaving us alone. I pulled out my sleeping bag and placed at inside the tent. Camila came in with hers and placed it on the other side leaving a gap between us.
"Aww man middle again." Taylor whined. She placed her sleeping bag between Camila's and I. I got out and went to sit at the picnic table with Sofi.
"Where are you sleeping?" I asked niclely.
"With mommy and daddy." She said sadly. She must be used to staying with Camila.

We all sat at the table eating sandwiches. With so many people we didn't fit so Chris and Taylor had to sit on the folding chairs.
My mom made me sit next to Camila. She hasn't talked to me since I told her I knew about her bullying.
"So Lauren, I hear you have a lot of...admirers." Sinu asked.
"Uhh....yeah there's a few." I said looking back down at my plate.
"Honey why haven't you told us you have a girlfriend?" My mom said. How does she know about that? I quickly looked up at her.
"Who told you that?" I asked nervously but I tried to stay calm.
"Lucy, why did I have to find out by someone else?" GRRRR LUCY!!!! Nosey ass friends!!!
"Lucy....Oh uhh it's cuz we just started. Like just started..I don't want to get too ahead of myself." I said and looked back down.
"Mmm....So who is she? Lucy says she's the rich popular girl from school."
"Atta Girl!! My dad chanted from his seat smiling at me.
"Uhh haha yeah...." I chuckled out nervousley.
"What's her name?" I opened my mouth to make up a name but Camila cut me off.
"NO-cy!!!" Camila yelled out. I looked at her and glared at her for her slip.
"Camila here name is....NAANcy." I said trying to cover it up. Camila nodded saying 'ohhh'.
"Oh Karla you told her your middle name." Sinu cooed smiling at the thought of Camila and I getting closer
"So when can we meet this Nancy?" Uggh mother.
"Soon." I said
"What about you Karla? Any boyfriends?" My mom asked.
"no." Camila simply said.
"Good. My little girl wont be getting her heartbroken any time soon." Alejandro said proudly.
I looked back down and turned a little to look at Camila. I saw her peek at me too, she looked scared. I turned back pretending to be interested in whatever was being said.
