"Mom. Wear something hot." Mia scurried to my closet.
"Mia keep your head out of my closet. I won't be responsible if you get stuck." I threatened from the bed.
"Yeah yeah fine. Now tell me? Do you have any dress?" She asked.

Daughters really never got chance to tell their moms what to wear on dates.

"Wow! You'll wear this." She pulled out a nude mid thigh, cut sleeved dress.
"No." I shook my head.
"Yes." She replied and shut my closet.
"Please mom?"
I shook my head.
"You're wearing it. I don't know." With this she walked out. People think they own me.

Hopeless.

I got dressed and video called mom.
"How's it?" I asked.
"Good. Where to?"

"Lunch with him." I replied.

"Even though Steve is not an orphan, he is good." She smirked. I cracked a grin.

"Mom really you remember how we used to plan to search for an orphan, tall and mature guy for me. He would call you ma'am and dad sir." She nodded.
I missed her so much.

"Mom!" Mia hollered.

"Go mom. Daughter is calling." Mom chirped.
We had met a few days ago.
I'd even met Marie. I apologised for calling her all bad names and thanked her for helping Velvet. She told me that he was most attached to his work and was a secretive person since forever, so I shall not get agitated.
And seriously, Gab is the epitome of cuteness. He's so sweet.

"Mom, makeup." She spoke.
I nodded and did some, applying some eyeliner, a little of blush, my all time favourite concealer and contour.

I was ready five minutes prior to decided.

The bell rang as Mia and I chatted about some random stuff.
I opened the door smiling. He stood there, adjusting his tie, wearing a suit as usual. He had a rose and a chocolate box in his hand and smiled at me. His eyes roamed around my body from top to bottom and simultaneously, his grin disappeared.

I frowned.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Get inside." He gulped.
He shut the door behind him and Mia ram to hug him. He kissed her head and then turned to me.

He looked away when I stared in his eyes.

"Change." He spoke blankly.
"Why? What happened?"
"I said change." He repeated.

"Doesn't it look good?" I asked.
"No. Now go." He replied.

My spirits lowered as I felt appalled. He didn't like it.

Mia scurried with me into my room and I shut it.

"What the hell?" She exclaimed.
"Seriously?"

"Did you fight with him?"
"He didn't even give me the rose and the chocolate man?" Mia rolled her eyes.
"Mom. Change." She handed me a lavender shirt dress which had fit and flare. It rested little above my knees.

She exclaimed a little as ever when she pulled my chain up. She was always fantasised by my scars.

I walked out nervously.

He looked up differently at me.

"A little gift." He smiled as he handed over the things. I gave him a slight lip curve.
