We don't understand this....

Both our gazes met and I felt like half the blood I had in body had frozen. The look on his face turned into anger for I don't know what when Matt said,"She might be pregnant. I'm not sure."

"What do you mean Matt? She fainted because she is pregnant?" He questioned.
I intervened,"I can't be pregnant. I can.." I stopped when my gaze landed upon Matt and I realised something. Shit!

"I mean I don't know." I mumbled looking down.

"Neither do I Miss Stanford." He spat venomously. I had this feeling that he knew something which he probably shouldn't know.
Our parents looked in between us especially when he called me Miss Stanford.

"Yes I know. I know what you did." He said looking straight into my eyes.

"How? I mean what do you mean?" Matt spoke.

"Looked like you couldn't convince the doctor Matt. And even if you did, for your information, I have my money make people speak for me." He replied coldly.

"See I.. Uh this is my fault. I manipulated her into doing this. She's not at all her fault." Matt said.

"No Matt. No salvation. And Mr Jayce, I think we can talk this through. No need to create a scene here in the hospital." I interjected.
"The walls are sound proof. And did you think you could hide it from everyone? Matt, you're her best friend. You did this to her? Seriously? Disgusting." He continued.
"I repeat we can talk this through alone." I said irritated. My head had started to hurt.

"No we can not. We need to sort this out right now, right here and in front of everybody." His voice was louder for the first time since I've met him.

"Do not bloody raise your voice at me Mr Jayce. And we're not having this discussion. I didn't ask you to bring me here. And it's my body, my choice and my goddamn right to do whatever the hell I want with it. You said you didn't care. Be true to your words and leave me alone." I too shouted but louder than him.

"You have the audacity to shout after what you did? Really?" He asked pensively.

"What is going on children? We don't understand this." Dad said.
"And Eve, how can you shout at your husband? Tell me what is going on. Your husband not knowing about your pregnancy, neither you but Matt is aware of it. What is wrong Steve?" Mum said. I could sense the double meaning of her statement. I was so confused that I forgot to inform mom that a jerkpit like the lizardman has to be shouted at.
"You want to tell them on your own or you need assistance?" He narrowed his eyes.
"I repeat, end this." I said hoping against hope.

"Shut up Eve. Steve tell us what she has done. Has she che.." Mum said angrily.
"Mom, stop it." I said angrily. "And you, what is your problem? I didn't do anything to catch that much of attention."
"Like hell you didn't. Mom you're taking it the wrong.. I mean it came out wrong. It isn't what you think it is." He replied.

"Tell us already Steve." Mom said again while all others gaped.
"Mr Jayce NO." I threatened as well.

"For gods sake woman, you've been taking pills." He let out while mom who had stood up, fell back on the couch she was sitting.
I looked down my eyes slowly shut and a faint 'shit' escaping my lips.

"What? Why?" This time it was mommy.

"She has been taking sleep-reducing pills since somedays. They have caused major downfall in her body. Her body is over exerted and it has resulted in the going down of sugar levels in her body. She has lost her appetite due to it. She is in a very weak condition and has to rest properly to get back to normal." He explained.
"Why Eve? Are you having any kind of trouble in your new house? Has anyone said anything to you? Is that why you've not been eating?" Mom rambled and pointed at him for a second.
"No mommy. I.. I..." Goodness. I was caught.
"You can tell us." She had come and sat beside me on the bed, holding my free hand. Did I tell my right hand had a IV attached to it?
