"Good morning mommy." I smiled as I entered the room. He turned towards me and flashed a smile. I reciprocated, nodding at daddy in the while.

"Good morning Eve." Mommy replied.

"Heels are irritating." He spoke.
"You too." I replied.

"Oh really? You just defend them because you're tiny without them." He smirked.
"Mr Jayce." I smiled sweetly. Daddy snickered.
"Just because your pituitary gland overexerted itself and produced too much of the growth hormone, doesn't mean that a person with its normal level is tiny. An elephant is big but that doesn't mean a lion is small." I flipped my hair.
He shook his head.

"Aww. No reply. Tsk tsk tsk." I laughed.
We began eating.

"Why don't you bring Mia here? I don't understand Eve." Daddy said.
"Daddy I want to make her life comfortable and not luxurious. There she herself does all the work. She serves her own food, washes her own dishes and cleans her own room and clothes. Just like I do. I don't want to get her dependant on any one else. She should be able to handle everything. I wish she never has to see anything bad but she has handled worse. A person who has handled worse can handle both but a person who has handled the best can't handle both." I finished.

Daddy smiled at me and nodded.
"But she meets you often right?"
"Yes. We are so fond of her." Mommy chirped.

"You know what?" Velvet spoke stuffing the fork in his mouth.
"What?"
"I sometimes believe that you have some personality disorder." He spoke.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because sometimes you talk absolute logic and mature like right now. The other times....well you get it, you're in the mature phase right now." He looked at me and then started laughing.
"Mommy he is so desperate to be killed by me." I snared.
She just giggled as I threw daggers at him.

We both picked up the jug of juice. "I'll take it first." He said.
"No. I'll take it."
"Me."
"Me."
"You will spill it children." Mommy intervened.
"Yes mom. She loves doing such things." He spoke as I poured the juice into my glass.
"Steve." Daddy glared.

"No daddy. He starts it. Remember when we had a fight." I reminded.
"You threw juice alright. My was not intentional. It just tripped. Because I don't make mistakes." He asserted haughtily.
"Shut up." I glared at him.
"I'm really happy that it's fine between you two. We were really worried in the beginning." Mommy said.
We shared a silent look  and he smirked as I bit my lip.

"You wanted to talk about something Steve?" Daddy spoke once we all seated ourselves in the living room.

"Yes dad." He replied looking at me.
I looked down as he held my hand in his.
"We all know in what conditions we got married." He spoke.
"Why open old wounds?" I said softly.
"What conditions?" Mommy said.
"At least dad knew that we were little less than enemies." He revealed slowly.
"So?" Eagerness and impatience were evident.

"So now I think it's time we declare that we are married. It's the right time that we perform a ceremonial marriage." He said.
Their faces lit up.
"I'll make all the preparations. Dad. I suppose we can do it on the next Saturday." He spoke.

"No issues children. We can invite the relatives right?" Dad asked smiling.
"Yes sure." I smiled back.

Soon we were alone.
