The two women weren't talking about Henry, though. They made their way to a bench far enough from the men in the park to where they couldn't be heard.
Once they were both sitting, Emma spoke first, "Regina, I know that before, I haven't ever talked to you about things like this, but," she paused briefly.
"Emma," she started, her face growing with concern, "is everything okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm alright, physically at least. This isn't something you need to be worried about. I just thought I could talk to you because, well..," she hesitated, looking down. Then she brought her eyes up and locked them with Regina's.
"We're friends, right?" Emma asked hopefully, not having a clue what Regina would say.
Regina looked a bit surprised. "I..I hope so. We do share a son after all," she smiled slightly.
Emma returned the smile, "Okay. So, as you may have noticed, since yesterday, I've been spending more time with Killian," she glanced over at him.
He was playing games with Henry. Emma couldn't help but stop and focus on him. He was so good with Henry, it was just one more reason why she wanted him.
"Please," Regina snorted, "You two don't separate. I saw him on his way to your house this morning so early. And now," she paused and smirked, "you can't take your eyes off him."
Emma gave her a "That is not true!" look, although inside she knew that is was.
Regina backfired a look at her that explained she was correct. "Okay," Emma observed Killian again from the bench, "I know that I can't stop thinking about him. I know that he would be a great father to Henry," she peered back at Regina, "As would Robin."
Regina smiled gratefully and nodded. "What I don't know, is if I'm ready," Emma focused on Regina seriously.
"Ready?" Regina tried to understand.
"All my life, it's been so difficult trusting people and believing things," she thought back to Henry telling her about the curse. "I've had my heart broken so many times. Believe me, I want to trust again. I'd probably be safer that way. My whole life, I've been running away. I was a lost girl. I had to protect myself because my own family wasn't around to do it for me. There was Neal, Walsh," she stopped for a moment.
Regina could feel tears threatening to spill from her eyes. She looked at Emma with sorrow, "Graham."
Emma stared at her and realized how she felt. "Every time I got so close to a person and let them in, thinking I know them," a single tear trickled down Emma's face, "I realize I just don't."
Regina pulled her in for a warm, gentle hug. Emma's head lay on her shoulder, both of them not caring that they were in a public place.

On the swings, Henry and Roland began to find it boring. "Papa," Roland jumped off of the swing and skipped to Robin. "Can we do something?"
Robin pulled Roland up onto his chest, holding him tight. "We are doing something. You don't want to swing?"
"It's getting boring," he responded.
Henry escaped from the moving swing he was on and approached Robin.
"What should we do?" Henry wondered.
Roland simply said, "Down, Papa," to Robin and he was on the surface of the earth again.
Quickly, Roland stepped away from Robin so he was just the right distance. "TAG!" he exclaimed, then went running around the park like a chicken with its head cut off.
Robin chuckled and raced after Roland. "I'm coming to get you!" he hollered after the boy.
Henry scanned Killian's face, which was making its way toward Emma and Regina.
"Wanna play?" Henry asked Killian.
"Ah, no thanks, lad. I'll sit this one out," he responded.
"Okay," Henry replied with a smile, running after the others.
Killian finally noticed Emma and Regina together on the bench. He quickly got worried as he saw tears shedding from Emma's eyes.
He rushed over to them, Emma's head buried in Regina's shoulder like an infant.
"Swan?! What's wrong?" he exclaimed.
Regina used her hands to symbolize "No not right now," but Killian just stared at Emma.
Emma's head found light again and she slowly turned her head toward him.
"Swan?" he said, with much worry and care. He noticed her drying tears immediately.
"Killian, hi!" Emma did her best to look normal. "What's up?" She forced a smile.
"I, uh, I just thought you might be..I thought something was wrong," he attempted to explain.
Emma smiled and shook her head lightly, "Nope, everything's fine over here."
Killian examined her for a moment while Regina was still holding a part of Emma's arm. "Right," he said hesitantly, "I'll just go...play Tag with the boys then," he decided out of much confusion. He thought they would talk about it later. But who was he to think that? Did Emma even trust him? Did she even like him?
Emma tried her best to smile for real, but she couldn't help thinking about her conversation with Regina. Was she ready? Obviously Killian had really strong feelings for her, but she for him?

Once they got to the apartment, Henry plopped down on the couch.
"Thanks for taking me to the park! It was fun!" he beamed.
"Sure, Henry," Emma smiled back at him as she hung her coat up and put everything back into place.
"Thanks for coming Killian," Henry kept his bright smile upon his face.
"It was my pleasure," he responded.
Henry turned on the television and began to play his video games. Before long he tuned everything else out.
Killian was sitting in a lounge chair by the bedroom. He looked as though a million different thoughts were scrambling through his head.
"You okay?" Emma asked.
"I'm fine, love," he responded with little emotion. "The question is, are you?"
Emma worried about what he was trying to bring up, but she just appeared confused. "Me? I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?"
Killian sighed, "Can we talk?"
"Isn't that what we're doing?"
"Alone. Upstairs?"
Emma glanced back at Henry, then locked eyes with Killian. "Uh, sure."
When they both got upstairs and we sitting down next to each other, Killian spoke.
"Emma, what were you talking about with Regina?"
"Killian that's stuff that doesn't matter. You don't need to worry about it," she lied.
"If it's so meaningless then why were you crying?"
"I just..Killian," she sighed, not knowing how to continue, "Look-" she started.
"Please, Swan. The truth," he stared into her eyes with his dazzling blue ones.
She finally gave in, "Killian, there's something I have to tell you," she looked down at her hands nervously and prepared for what she was about to say.
