laced with golden hues
yellow sunshine painted over his lips
dark pink
flushed roses blooming on cheeks
small fingers
clutching mine
drawing lavender sunsets
coloring blue hearts purple
flowers growing in cold bones
petals falling over bowed heads
eyes shining as they meet his
and cries ripping from desperate throats
desperate words and desperate hands
reaching out to hold his
to finally know what home feels like
soft strands of colored hair falling into
wide warm eyes
long dark lashes framing
fluttering over cherries
gentle features
collarbones sticking through the surface
of an expanse of honey skies
laughter that makes the air taste of
sweetness and pastel pink
holding shaking hands
even so far away
falling into sleep's embrace
with the sound of his whispers
in my ears
clutching sleeves, stars rolling down cheeks
a smile up to his eyes
the prettiest I've ever seen
heart shining under his skin
kisses blown to the wind
prettier and prettier
every time I look at him
he's lovely
