as your footsteps faded in the night
i held the warmth of your last embrace
i kissed the fingers you've kissed before
cold feet against the floor of a lost dream
i miss catching a glimpse of your sleeping form
for you don't sleep here anymore
in the darkness my eyes are wide open
i cannot fall without your whispered goodnight
without the arms that held me when I cried

you told me I would see you again
you promised to heal if there were cuts to mend
the silence in this house gives way to screams
do you see the same empty memoriesIt will get better. Take deep breaths. I'm here. I believe in you. Eat and stay hydrated! Love youuuuu!
