This week I decided to make a cheesecake that I found on Tasty. If you don't know, Tasty is a YouTube channel that does really satisfying cooking videos and they have an app called Tasty which is really great and has step by step instructions for recipes.
I don't usually love cheesecakes so I had my sister taste this mug cake to see if it's good. (She said it was amazing but she'd like the cheesecake to be thicker so I suggested for her to freeze it. She said that would make it amazing) Here's how to make it;
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of butter
2 graham cracker sheets
4 ounces of soft cream cheese
2 tablespoons of sugar
3 drops of vanilla extract (I used 1/8 of a teaspoon)
Any toppingsInstructions:
1.) Melt your butter and tip it around the mug to coat it.
2.) Crush your graham cracker sheets, mix them with the butter, and press it down to make the crust on the bottom. (if the graham cracker crust doesn't press down, crush it into smaller bits or add some more butter)
3.) In another small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. (I strongly advise you to use a small bowl for this part because I tried mixing it on top of the crust and got a few crust bits in the cheesecake)
4.) Put your cream cheese mixture on top of the crust and smooth the surface.
5.) Microwave the cheesecake on 50% power for forty-five seconds and bring it to the fridge.
6.) One the cheesecake is cooled, garnish it if desired. (The Tasty recipe uses raspberries but I used blackberry and strawberry topping)
The berry sauce I put on top was actually really good and complimented the vanilla flavor really well (in my opinion). I used half of a tablespoon of granulated sugar and ... 1/2 of a strawberry... and 5 blackberries? I crushed the berries in a bowl, added the sugar, and then microwaved it for 20 - 30 seconds at a time until it turned into a sauce with seeds and a couple chunks. It was sooooo good!
I hope y'all enjoyed this weeks recipe, I'll see y'all next week!
