Hello and welcome to a new addition to this book; Snack Stack. This is the first part of what hopefully becomes a monthly addition to this book. I'm hoping to be able to do this every fourth Sunday of every month from now on.

My dad challenged me to make a "Rice Krispie - banana - chocolate chip thing". Thus... Snack Stack was born.

Remember, I must make this in a mug in order for this to be a challenge, so I'm going to be over complicating some steps. I'm also going to be using a microwave as my only source of heat for cooking.

Here's how I went about making the recipe.

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons of butter
4 cups of small marshmallows
4 cups of Rice Krispie cereal
1 cup of chocolate chips
1-2 bananas

Instructions: (I've only made this a couple times and I haven't taken pictures of all the steps, sorry!)

Part 1. - Make chocolate chip Rice Krispies.

1.) Set aside a small square or rectangle dish that you'll pack your Rice Krispies into.

2.) Add one tablespoon of butter to your microwave safe mug and heat it in the microwave until it melts (it takes me 15 seconds).

3.) Melt 1 cup of marshmallows. Marshmallows rise really quickly and burn easily so I melt them by adding 1/4 of a cup (4 tablespoons) at a time to the butter, heating them for 10 seconds, taking them out and stirring until it's smooth, and repeating the process until I've melted a whole cup of marshmallows.

4.) Stir in Rice Krispie cereal, 1/4 of a cup at a time just like the marshmallows.

5.) It should still be moldable and warm so add in 1/4 of a cup of chocolate chips and stir them in pretty thoroughly but quickly. They'll melt or sink to the bottom if you stir them too much.

6.) Pack this batch or Rice Krispies into a fourth of your pan. Repeat this whole process 3 more times until you fill your whole pan.

Part 2. - Constructing the dish.

1.) Cut it through whatever middle you want, but I like having a thinner final Rice Krispie cake so that you can taste more banana.

(In the second picture I forgot to add the chocolate chips to the Rice Krispie before so I added them on top. Also, I decided to make a really long rectangle and cut that in half from top to bottom rather than side to side like in the first picture)

2.) Once you cut it in half, add sliced bananas on one side and flip the other side on top of it. If you taste it and it's not chocolatey enough for you, I suggest spreading some Nutella on top. It's pretty good!

Thank you for sitting through this long recipe

Thank you for sitting through this long recipe. It was a bit confusing in parts but I hope you were able to understand. Comment down below if you'd like me to continue this series or not!

As always, see you next Sunday with another recipe!
