It was an auditorium where the posters of Aminah and a book cover were surrounded upon. The audience were wearing graduation hats. Among them were Kamal and Chandu whose tea store was sold and had passed their High School Diploma. Therefore with the effort of four years during their undergrad days, they finally graduated as the students of Film and Media Communications. Sadek was the one who helped Chandu and Kamal with their financial needs.
On the other side, there was Yesmin and Javed who were sitting as the lovely couple with their fraternal twin children: a boy and a girl who were six year olds. Yesmin quitted to watch Mexican telenovelas, instead, she watches the series with less melodrama with strong and educative story. Her behavior also toned down and became more romantic towards her professor husband. They were absolutely happy.
On the last note was Mr. and Mrs. Jabbar with their teenage children who just came from the boarding school. They were waiting for Aminah's speech to come out. Mr. Jabbar was still a kind man as Mrs. Jabbar toned her over-hyped behavior down.
One of the older professors went on stage and announced:
"Friends, I want to speak a few words about our chief guest. I was used to be her art faculty. At first, due to her strangeness on her behavior, I did not like her. I even used to belittle her. Otherwise, she was a brilliant artist. Until, I found out that, she really faced her problems, when she hopped into my office. She was timid back then. Therefore, I told her to take some time off and now she's a successful author. I want you to present the student of the university: Aminah Marcia Khan!"
Aminah slowly came to the stage with Shezan with an elegant smile, while Dr. Jehangir was at the front row of the audience's chair. Aminah was nervous and happy at the same time. The mixture of emotions went into vein that she grabbed the microphone. The audience were looking at the suspense of the whole problem. The whole scene turned out to be dramatic.
"Thank you, dear sir. I am here to tell you that the novel that I have written is based on my life. It's not only about my life but it is death itself. A lot of people were not open about mental health at that time. Still, mental health has not been take seriously. We must take them because: 90 percent of us are mentally ill, most might not agree about it but there are 10 percent of the people are straight at the asylum. On the further note, my husband once told me a story about a woman who was accused of the witchcraft and persuaded her to a severe trial on fire. The fire was low while she walked onto it. On which the so-called priests were proved right and imprisoned her. Unfortunately, she made a cackling laugh when she was hanged. Do you know why? She wants to be free and already freed. Furthermore, she wanted to have a life because her family was killed by the people who were associated with the king.
On that occasion, life is not described by one word, it is described by the thousand. Death is such that no one can predict, only The Almighty do. A child is always curious than a stupid, egoistic adults because of the environment is fake, people adjusts into that. In that case, genuine feelings do not fully fade because we all are humans. People do redeem. When? Their change of perceptions given them a chance for redemption.
On that note, I first thought that ending my life would be a solution but my life turned out when I first met my psychiatrist, Dr. Jehangir who actually helped me during my odd times. I was so under depression, back then that I was almost collided with various different characters. I miss my twin and my mom. Sometimes, life will not give your cup of tea but it will give you the-first-bitter-then-yummy, kind of taste.
Some people are right. The world's ethics are not the one sided value, it is of various sides. We must be open about it. Our mental health might be a bit uneasy but it is like a parent who takes care of a child. Whenever a child make mistakes, we quickly forgive them and teach them life lessons in a playful manner. Otherwise, they cannot build their willpower. Willpower and responsibility should come from itself. Otherwise, we would stuck ourselves forever.
