"I guess it's going to have to hurt, I guess I'm going to have to cry, And let go of some things I've loved to get to the other side
I guess it's going to break me down, Like fallin when you try to fly,
Sad but sometimes moving on with the rest of your life starts with goodbye"― Carrie Underwood

'I'm wide awake,
I'm wide awake,
I'm wide awake,
yeah, I was in the dark...'
My alarm blared through the room causing a loud groan to escape my lips, feeling around my bed to switch off the annoying sound I eventually find it, but it falls to the smooth carpet beside my bed making the serenity envelop the room once again.
"Good morning to me, uhhhhh!! The first day of school and I already feel tired, geez." I mumbled to myself while getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom to get ready. After 30 minutes of my hygiene process I walked to my dresser and picked out a black short-sleeved top with the logo 'DON'T MIND ME', black skinny ripped jeans and black converse, I moved on to tie my chestnut hair into a high messy bun, applied lip balm and natural make up. I further moved to stuff my bag with my planner and a pencil case.
As I made my way downstairs, the smell of bacon and waffles drifted into my nose and instantly my stomach grumbled reminding me of how hungry I was.
"Morning Dad, how'd you sleep? I slept great thanks for asking, I'll just fill up my bowl with the great breakfast you prepared." I said to Dad before he could even reply with a smile on my face.
"Morning sunshine, I slept fairly well. I'm glad you slept well, are you ready for school today? Should I drop you off or you'll catch the bus?... I don't want to embarrass you on your first day you know." Dad asked whilst still dishing up breakfast for himself and I. Thinking briefly about his questions I waited until I swallowed my last piece of bacon.
"I'm a little nervous, I mean I just enrolled in a new school in the middle of the year and I don't know anyone which is even scarier. I just hope the school isn't that big or else I'm going to get lost on the first day and miss most of my classes, and to answer your other question I'd love it if you dropped me off and could you pick me up too? I'll call you after my last period, please Dad!"
I asked with pouty lips and puppy dog eyes knowing he couldn't resist my cuteness, I looked up and saw him smiling knowing that I already got his attention, I stood up and stuffed my lunch bag with food contents since I'm a very picky eater and might not like what the cafeteria has in store for me.
I glanced at my wristwatch and noticed that the time read '06:45' meaning I would approximately be left with an hour till school commenced and got the paperwork over and done with. Just thinking about offices and paperwork made my head spin.
"I'll go get the car started and please bring along my briefcase, don't forget to lock all the doors."
Dad said after clearing all the dishes and heading towards the garage to get the grey Audi A3 started. I followed suit after making sure all the doors and windows were locked and took dad's case and my bags, I got in the double garage and opened the boot then placed the bags in excluding my lunch bag, we wouldn't want dad's paperwork covered in mustard now right!
"Ready kiddo?"
He asked as I slipped into the passenger seat and proceeded to place the safety belt around my petite figure and the soft 'click' alerted me that it was held in place, I turned to face him, that's when I noticed that he was looking at me with a proud expression on.
