"There's very little in my world that a foot massage and a thin-crust, everything-on-it pizza won't set right."

The week had passed by in a blur.
Just a minute ago I had been dreading the start of the week and now that Friday had come around I felt quite delighted.
Reasons being, today was the day that I officially joined the school basketball team and the other being my birthday next week, even though I never really celebrated it after what happened two- years ago, Dad never let me drown myself in sorrow and dread.
I'd be eighteen in a few days, and I sure as heck knew mom would want me to celebrate at my full capacity.
"Cupcake! Breakfast is ready." Dad called out from downstairs.
No need to tell me twice. Wait, what's the time?
Yep! I figured. I flippin' overslept, I didn't even hear the alarm, useless piece of junk!
I kicked off my sheet, fixed my bed in record time–the edges weren't fully made, obviously.
"Coming Dad."
The shower head was aiming directly at my head, as soon as the water started cascading down on-to my head and back, I jumped at the sudden freezing cold contact and immediately shut the water off.
I forgot to switch on the geyser, ugh! What a wonderful way to start the day, yay me!
Well, that was enough to send me out and running for my body towel, I bathed the night before anyway!
My hair was a mess. I didn't have time to blow dry it, so I did the next best thing, or so I thought was the next best thing. Towel dried my nestled hair then tried– I really mean tried– to comb out the knots, it became an even bigger disaster when my brush broke, and that was my favorite brush, it got the work done every–single–time, except this one time. You'll be missed brushy the brush.
I packed my books into my bag minus my sports gear–will be getting new sets today.
I made my way downstairs, dragging my backpack on the stairs. My stomach instantly grumbled from the choice of breakfast Dad decided to cook. Today's special was— drumroll please— to be honest, I had no idea what it was, but it was surely delicious.
