Noah polishes off the last few bites of chili in his second bowl while the others leisurely work on completing their first. Wiping his lips with his arm, he grabs his dishwater and heads for the sink to rinse. Once Noah is done, he pulls out the silver leaf containing his armor and slaps it on his chest.

"Hey, now..."

David grumbles as he spills his spoon of hot soup on his lap. Kalista and the boys try not to laugh.

"Aghhh, are you going out again? Shouldn't you wait thirty minutes or something?"

"Daaaaad, I'm not going swimming? I-burp-ha ha."

David throws his arms top in the air and shakes his head.

"OK, this person is only lost in the woods. They could die of starvation, but I think I could give them a day or two."

Kalista and Noah both envision the stranded hiker clutching his hurt ankle in the middle of a ravine. He looks around in all directions but no one can help him. No one but Noah perhaps.

"Oh, all right, fine, but we need to have a talk about these little shoooms of yours?"

"My what? Oh, you're referring to the sound made when I bound."

"Yes," David starts to get up once his bowl is empty, but Alexius manages to slide the last of his food into his mouth before grabbing his and the others as well and walking the bowls toward the sink.

"Uhhh, thanks, son," David pauses for a moment then looks back to Noah, "anyway, you were off saving people from floods, car accidents, and tornadoes. I get it. Your a hero, but you're also a student. I saw the news updates this morning and then this afternoon. You were out all last night  which I can't imagine is good for your sleep but now you're slipping out of school to go this Aegis stuff?"

"Dad..."

"Don't Dad me! You're doing something good and noble, don't get me wrong, but before you became...this, you were already committed to school."

"Dad, I can get all of my assignments done. In fact I already finished my homework tonight."

"WHAAAAT?"

The group turns to Ty as he jumps in his chair.

"I haven't even started reading tonight, and you're done? Like with everything?"

Noah shrugs.

"What can I say? I know my stuff, and I'm super motivated. Some might even say I've earned the opportunity to get out of the house and do something with my free time."

David groans knowing that Noah has read his mind reportedly over the past few days but also has memory of things he said before he got his powers.

"How do you leave school without getting caught? Isn't that just reckless?"

"I got it, Dad. I can sense any person around me. I won't get caught. Plus I'm not skipping class just popping out to help people during my break periods."

Kalista narrows her eyes on the boy.

Except for those times you go to the bathroom, too. I suppose you're not going to tell them that you have been retreating back to Velos to do your homework and sleep in Echo, are you?

Noah groans as he turns his face towards her.

He doesn't have to know every last detail about my life, ya know. Plus if I go back to Velos to study and sleep almost no time passes here which means I have more time to do everything I need and help people freely.
