Mark didn't let your hand go as he ran to his car. He practically threw you into his car, running to the drivers side and drove off. You looked at him, a shocked look on your face. He looked mad.

"Mark?" You asked again. He never took his eyes off the road, but he reached over with his hand and grabbed yours.

"I thought I lost you. I woke to you gone, the house empty with the front door open. I then remembered what happened. That guy, no, that demon had knocked me out. He took you." Mark said. He then pulled over, putting his car into park and turned to you.

"(y/n), I was out on a walk, thinking I had just lost an angel when I saw you both at a restaurant. I was so happy you were alive but also mad. Why were you with him? I then saw your face fell before you smiled. It looked forced. I then knew that you were being forced to be with him. I followed you to his house. If I hadn't, he would have...have..." Was all Mark could say before he started to cry. You reached over and hugged him. You didn't move for a few minutes, afraid that if you move, Dark would be in Marks place, but you had to let him go. You then moved, lifting Marks chin to look at him in the eyes.

"Let's go home." You said. He smiled with a nodded, turning in his seat and drove. The drive was quiet, but not bad. It was relaxing. You closed your eyes, a smile on your lips before you felt it. It was like a pulling on your soul. Your eyes opened, and you looked behind you. It was Dark. He was in his car, following you. You saw him smiled and gestured to you to come over and you felt that tug again. You looked forward.

"Mark, don't stop." You said. He looked at you quickly before looking back at the road.

"Why? We are almost home." He said. You wanted to cry. You had forgotten about the mist he put in you. You didn't know how strong it was as you felt that pull again. Was that normal? You looked at Mark, tears in your eyes.

"He kissed me and put some darkness in me to track where I am if I ran. That's why I didn't try to leave at the restaurant. He behind us right now. I can feel the darkness trying to make me go to him." You said. You saw Mark grip the steering wheel. He sighed.

"I know what to do. Get ready to run." He said. You looked confused, but he then turned, and you saw an abandoned church. You smiled. Of course! Demons can't enter churches because of the sins they have done, it would purify them. He drove on to the sidewalk and you ran into the church. You smiled as you felt the darkness leave you and turned but you didn't see Mark behind you. You ran to the window, seeing Dark holding Mark by his hair, a knife to his throat.
