"No!" You screamed and ran out the front door of the church. Dark pressed the knife closer to his neck and you stopped on the last step on the church. You knew he would kill him if you didn;t do what he said.

"It's a good thing I put the darkness in you, my angel. I would never have found you otherwise." Dark said. You stared at them both, moving from Dark's eyes, to Mark's.

"Please let Mark go Dark." You said. Dark smiled. It looked twisted.

"But why? I love to cut throats and watch the life leave their eyes. It brings me joy and if I kill Mark, you won't have anyone to run to." Dark said. You could feel the tears in your eyes, but they didn't fall. You wouldn't let them.

"Please, I will do anything if you keep him alive." You said, and you meant it. Mark had taken you into his home, helped you heal your broken wing and now saved you from Dark. You owned him everything. Dark smiled, moving the knife and threw Mark to the ground. Mark got up, but black vines came out of the shadows and wrapped around him to keep him still. One wrapped around his mouth before he could speak. They were made out of darkness. You didn't move to save him, knowing that would anger Dark and you had to prove to him you would do anything. You saw the knife turn into the collar and leash.

"You will come here and put on your gift I gave you." He said and waited. You swallowed the lump in your throat and walked over to him. He held it out for you. You never looked at Mark as you grabbed it. You avoided touching his skin as you knew that was one of the requirements. You put it on, the collar snapping closed and you saw Mark struggling out of your peripheral vision. Dark reached and grabbed the leash.

"You will never run from me again, my angel. Do I make myself clear? If you do, I will let you live. It's Mark that will die." Dark said. You nodded. Dark looked mad as you nodded, but then smiled.

"You will also call me master and always answer in such a way. I'm tired of your silence." He said. You looked at him in his eyes. He was smiling like this was normal. Like everyone did this.

"Yes master." You whispered, turning to Mark. You stared at him, wanting to remember what he looked like, so you would never forget him before turning back to Dark. He cupped your cheek. His hand felt colder than normal.

"I love you my angel. I know in time you too will love me." He said. You let the tears fall.

"Yes master." You said. He laughed a bit, using his thumb to wipe your tears.

"You will let me touch you, in anyway. I was...well, we were interrupted last time, don't you agree, my angel?" Dark asked. You started to shake but it wasn't out of fear for you, but for Mark. You would do this to keep him safe, even if it hurt you in the end.

"Y-yes master." You shuddered. He smiled.

"The deal is set. Kiss me to seal it. Remember, a deal with a demon is final. There is no going back. I can kill Mark now and take you, whether you like it or not. I'm giving you this freedom, this choice because I love you, my angel." Dark said. You looked into his eyes. Your fear faded. You knew with this kiss your freedom was gone but...

"I won't Master. I won't run, and I go with you willingly for Mark. If you give me your word that Mark gets to live, I will be your angel till the end of time." You said. Dark smiled and nodded.

"On my damned soul, I promise you that Mark will live." Dark said. You sighed, nodding and closed your eyes as you leaned into Dark, kissing him on the lips. You felt Dark smile, but then if faded and he pushed you away roughly. You opened your eyes and saw light shooting out of Dark as he screamed in pain. The light was everywhere and was spreading on his body. Soon the light was too much, and you had to cover your eyes. Dark's screams faded into nothingness, and you opened your eyes. Dark was gone and so were the darkness vines around Mark. You ran to him and hugged him. He hugged you back, holding you tight.

"(y/n), why? Why would you do that?" He whispered to you as he held you. You broke it and cupped his cheek.

"I couldn't let you die. I would rather spend an eternity with a demon if it meant you would live." You said. Mark's eyes were wide, and his mouth was parted a bit in shock. He didn't say anything but leaned in and kissed you. Your eyes went wide before they closed, and you leaned in, moving your hands to wrap around his neck. Soon you parted. You stared into each other's eyes but then you turned and looked at were Dark was. You then looked at Mark.

"I have to talk to God." You said and Mark nodded, following you into the church.
