I open the door and see Anne, Diana and ruby running my way. I step outside and walk over to them to give them a hug. "Have you ever noticed what cheerful things brooks are?" Anne asks us. "There always laughing." "How sweet?" We walk over to the other girls and pt our milk down in the water.
I stand up straight looking at the other girls, when all of a sudden I hear some of the scream. "Bloodies! Knickers!" Billy says, touching the skirts of the other girls. "Oh, god! Are you alright?" I ask Tillie. "Yeah, thanks for asking." "Keep your hands off!" Anne yells to the boys.
"You must not mind them, Anne. They're just boys being boys. They love to torment our lives out." Diana explains. "I do mind. I mind a great deal. A skirt is not an invitation!" A knock on the window causes my attention. I look at the window and see Moody and Charlie, who are waving me over. I nod and walk inside.
"What's up?" They look at each other and then back to me. "We know that you haven't been writing a lot lately, and we love your stories, so, we thought this might help." They hand me a navy blue book with big letters on it. "Cindy Melanie" I read out loud, touching the golden painted letters.
"Guys, You shouldn't have done this for me." I say hugging them. Cindy Melanie is a great writer. I told Moody and Charlie that on Christmas two years ago. "Moody!" Billy says, giving him a bro hug. "Charlie!" He does the same with him. "And little Gracie." I could punch that smirk right off his face.
"This is the first time I have seen you smile since ages. Must come because of me." I pat his shoulder. "Sure, if you want that." I say, walking away. "I think Diana made a very convincing prince." I hear Anne say, when I walk over to my table. "Me, too." I sit down on my seat and I rest my head on Ruby's shoulder. "I was going for daring, dashing and a little bit wicked." Diana tells the others.
"Well, who needs real boys when we all have prince Wisteria." When they laugh I feel a little left our, because I don't know what they were talking about. "What are you talking about?" I ask with a chuckle. I feel a hand on my shoulder and see that it is Josie. "Anne invited us over for an afternoon of parlor games." Ruby explains.
My smile faded. "All of you?" Josie asks. "Well, Grace wasn't there either." "Parlor games? Without boys? Fine for you. I'm far too mature for such childish amusements." Josie says, sitting on her seat. Why didn't she invited me?
➸
I was just making my math when Josie holds a letter in front of my nose. I read the name that is on the letter. Billy. I roll my eyes and lean over to the other side of the room to give it to billy. He looks at me with a smirk and takes the letter. When he reads it he looks at Josie with a creepy grin. Josie does the same but she also plays with her hair.

"Whomever the bottle points to you are permitted to kiss. It needs to be boy, girl, boy, girl." Josie explains. We are sitting in a circle. I'm sitting next to Cole and Jane. "Where does that leave Cole?" I shake my head and sit more straight up. "Jane, go sit next to your dumb brother." I laugh and look at Billy. "Tillie, you over there." Josie points out places for everyone. When she sits down she whispers something to Cole. "Billy doesn't know anything about anything. I'm glad that you're here."
"Didn't have much of a choice." A smirk forms on my face and I'm trying not to laugh. "Who would like to spin first?" I look around for someone that can spin first. "Diana!" Charlie says out of nowhere. "Uh." She awkwardly smiles and spins the bottle. I look around and see that all the boys have a hopeful look on their faces. Of course they do. When the bottle starts to spin slower, I start to get curious.
"Moody." Josie says, when the bottle lands on him. "Me?" He asks, not believing what is going on. "Now you have to kiss." Josie explains. "On the mouth." Everyone gasps and I hold in my chuckle. Diana looks questioning at me and stands up. So does Moody, and Diana says, "good afternoon, Moody." "Good afternoon, Diana. I'm going to kiss you now." They dub first but then they lean in for a quick kiss.
The smile on their faces couldn't get any bigger and everyone starts to laugh and cheer. "Your turn, Anne." She nods and shuffles a little bit forward. But before she could've touched the bottle, Billy said, "I'm out. No way." Some people laugh but, I feel really bad. "Ugly orphan." Someone says, and I give him a death glare. "What are you afraid of, Anne?" Josie asks. "I seem to recall you knowing a lot about imitate relations." I smack her arm and mouthed don't, but she shrugs it off.
"You're from unfortunate circumstances. This can't be your first kiss." It seems like Anne is frozen and she doesn't moves. "Anne?" Her eyes go from the bottle to Josie. "No!" She says, and she stands up, takes her stuff and runs away. Diana goes after her but, I stay we're I am. Some people chuckle as Diana slams the door shut. I sigh and lean with my head against the wall.
"My turn." Billy says with a grin on his face. He spins the bottle and backs up. I hear the bottles rhythm is getting slower and I look at where it ends. Crap. It landed on me and the smirk on Billy's face grew wider. "No thanks." I tell him. "You have to kiss him!" Josie demands. "That's the rule." I slowly stand up and so does Billy. I nervously look around the group and Billy licks his lips.
On the moment he starts to lean in the door flies open. Mike is in the opening. "What are you guys doing here?" He raises his voice. "You aren't supposed to be here anymore." Josie stands up as says, "we wanted to do an out of school homework class." Mike scoffs and points at the bottle. "Get out." He nods to the door and everyone stands up and packing their stuff.
Once everyone left the room, I look thankful at Mike. "Thank you." I say. "Your welcome." An awkward silence fills the room and Mike scratches his neck. "How did you knew that we were here?" Mike walks out of the room and I follow him. He shows me the note that Josie gave to Billy. "That and I sort of forgot my bag." I chuckle. "How can you forget your bag?"
"Anyway, I think I have to go. I have somewhere to go." I nod understandably and walk to the exit. "Where are you going to?" He takes the keys out of his pocket and laughs nervously. "I, uh- I have a date." Ouch. "Oh." I say. "Well have fun." He nods and locks the door. "I'll see you tomorrow." He says, and he walks away. At least I know that will never happen.
