『 12 | Christmas musical part 1 』
It's evening of the Christmas musical, everyone backstage is nervous. I can feel it. Even though I'm not in it, I know that some people are about to throw up. Which is not a good thing, because I'm the one that has to clean that up.
"Just breath." I tell Diana, when I see that she has gone pale. She nods and slowly breathes in and out. I take her hand and say, "you're gonna do great. You're like talent itself." She chuckles and holds my hand.
"Has anyone seen Josie Pye? Josie Pye?!" Mrs. Lynde shouts, looking around like 'a chicken without his head', how my mom would describe it. "Where on earth is she? We're minutes away!" I let go of Diana's hand and walk over to Gilbert.
"Oh! I see you've hired a hand. Good thinking." Says Mrs. Lynde when she sees Sebastian. Gilbert glances at me and tells her, "oh,no, this is my friend Sebastian. He offered to help with the play." The worried look on Mrs Lynde's face fades to a deep red colour.
"Well. Well, well, well- there you are!" Josie appears backstage and Mrs Lynde pulls on her sleeve. She looks Josie up and down and says with a disgusted face, "you look like you've just been widowed." I have to admit, she was right.
"Where's your shovel? Where's your pivotal prop?!" This isn't a good sign. I look at Gilbert and he shrugs and goes on with the decoration. "I left it at home." Josie her voice sounded like she was a ninety year old grandfather who has smoked too much.
"Oh, my word, you've lost your voice!" Josie starts coughing badly, and Mrs Lynde starts to panic. "Grace, get her something for her throat please." She commands. "Yes, ma'am." I hear her shout Anne her name so I assume she is going to take over Josie's part.
I take Josie by her arm and we walk to the dressing room. Just when I wanted to ask Josie what happened, someone knocked on the door. "I brought you some soup." Adam stands in the middle of doorway. "Your favorite." I pause my moves and realize that someone has to play the tree. "Er- Give it to Josie." I mumble as I walk past him.
For a second my mind goes blank, and I don't know what to do. Olivia. Olivia can play the tree, and I can teach her the dance moves. I quickly run to the audience and search for Olivia. "Cole, have you seen Olivia?" I ask him, since he is the only one I saw that I knew. "I don't think she has arrived ye-"
The Cuthbert's walk into the room with Olivia. I make my way over to them and say, "we need you." A confused Olivia walks along with me backstage. I explain what happened and she agrees to play the tree. I teach her the dance moves and put her in a costume. Show time...
A/N: I am sorry for the short chapter. I'm just very busy with school, but it is almost over (thank god). I just wanted to tell you that I'm working on a different story that is about Olivia. It is about her background and you get to see what it was like when she still worked on the ship with her father and fell in love with someone that she wasn't supposed to.
Anyway, thanks for making it so far! Every comment and vote means a lot to me and it inspires me to write more. I promise I'll upload the second part soon, and with soon I don't mean a Shawn Mendes soon because that is just too long. Have a great day!
