Chapter two

•Luke's POV•
The next morning I paid no attention getting ready, more attention was focused on texting Ashton. He was the type of person you could go to him for anything, he was the type of caring person that even if you didn't say anything, he knew, when your sad, mad or happy.  I and ash have been friends our entire lives, he calls it brotherly but I don't. Ashton was more than a friend to me, more than a brother to me. I didn't fully understand my emotions yet, will I ever?  While I was eating cereal I checked the weather. 100°F ~ Low~High 110°F Great. They probably are going to cancel school. The second I thought that my mom got a call from school saying school was closed. I laughed then ran to my room, kicking off my shoes.  I texted Ashton.
To:ash: schools closed!
From:ash: yessss! Meet at my place? My moms working.
To:ash: for sure see you in ten!
I opened the garage door, grabbed my skateboard and raced to his house. On my way there my phone fell out of my pocket, I never realized until my earbuds flew out of my ears. I jerked to a stop and grabbed my phone, it was shattered. Perfect I thought. Sometimes I feel like the world was against me. Once I got to Ashton's house I burst open the door, grabbed a snack and headed upstairs to his room.
"Hey" Ashton said while looking up at me.
I jumped on his bed just nodding. I pulled my phone out of my pocket.
"Look. This happened on my way here." I said with a laugh.
"Bro, how are you going to tell your mom?" He said
I just shrugged my shoulders. Ashton let out a giggle while chewing gum. He was so cute, I would never get the nerve to tell him how I felt. Even tho I wasn't sure if I liked him or not, if I was even attracted to the same gender. I shook my head trying get rid of idea.

•Ashton's POV•
I looked at Luke,sitting on my bed. He always looked like he was so tough, like he could beat you up any second. Only I really knew he was a softy, my softy. I began to blush looking at him, he looked at me and started laughing..I looked away and faked a laugh.
"It's so quiet." Luke said awkwardly.
"Yeah" I said while scratching my head.
I looked at him once more, not understanding my emotions. He was always so fun to be around. No matter what you did, it was always an amazing time with Luke. I wondered if he thought the same about me? Probably not, why would he think that about me? I looked down at my bracelets and started taking them off to play with them. I took one off and shot it at Luke. It snapped him in the face, he put his hand over his cheek with a groan.
"Dude I'm sorry it wasn't meant to hit you in the face, I'm sorry." I said while getting up.
"It's ok trust me it didn't hurt that bad." He said with a fake smile.
"I feel bad, honestly I always feel bad." I said sitting down.
He looked at me confused.
"Listen, Luke, I'm really sorry I hit you in the face it was my mistake. But forget I said anything else ok?" I said trying to cover up what I just said.
"No Ashton, you can tell me if anything's going on you know that right?" He said with his last word weak.
"Yeah, dude I'm fine whatever it's fine. Let's just change the subject." I said quickly.
He rolled his eyes, he gave me a look. The type of look that says "I know somethings wrong but whatever I will get you to say" I put my hand on my neck. Not knowing what to say I got up and sat next to Luke on my bed. I looked at him and he looked at me. He grabbed a marker in the floor and wrote a smiley face on my arm. I was confused, not knowing what for I grabbed the marker out of his hands and put one on his arm. We sat there in complete silence.
"Want to invite Melissa over?" Luke said.
"Sure, want me to text her?" I asked
He nodded.
To:Melissa: Hey, you busy? I and Luke are bored..what to come over? My place?
From:Melissa: Sure is it alright if I bring my sister?
To:Melissa: I thought you hated each other?
From:Melissa: We made up :)
"She's going to be here in 10..with her sister." I said while turning around to look at him.
"They made up?" He said with a not impressive look.
"What do you expect?" I said laughing.
We heard a knock on the door, we waited. I heard Melissa scream "ASHTON LET US IN" they were laughing but we all knew she wasn't joking.
"GANNA HAVE TO FIND A WAY" I screamed back, me and luke laughing harder every time. She threw something at the side of the house.
"IM GOING TO CLIMB IN THROUGH THE WINDOW" she screamed back
"GO FOR IT!" Luke screamed. a couple minutes later Melissa and Riley burst through my bedroom door. She looked annoyed
"You guys are jerks." Riley said laughing.
Luke blushed, smiled. I was confused, he looked at me like that. Not her. I was now NOT excited for Riley to be here, anyway we where friends with Melissa not her.
