Chapter ten

•Ashton's POV•
Me and Luke walked into social study's, recognizing the same faces like everyday of our lives. One girl stuck out, she was new. She sat on the other side of Michael. She looked shy, she had earbuds in. I sat in my seat only a couple feet from her. She looked at me, smiling.
"Hi!" She said smiling.
I waved, looking back at my desk. Michael was gone today, I knew why. Melissa's and Riley's funeral. Thinking of Melissa, hurt, Riley being gone, didn't hurt as much. The shy girl started a conversation, again for the tenth time already.
"My names Kelsey what about yours?" She said looking up.
"Uh Ashton." I said smiling.
The teacher announced prom was coming up.. I didn't want to go AT ALL. I looked over at Kelsey, she looked at me. While looking back I seen her bite her lip. I hope she knows I'm gay.. When class was over Kelsey stopped me in the doorway.
"Hey I wanted to know if you um.. wanted to go to prom with me? I know it's sudden and you think you've only known me for a day but I know you, Ashton." She said looking deep into my eyes.
"Umm how?" I said kind of weirded out.
"I went to your old school, you never payed attention to me. I thought I was making it obvious I liked you!" She said looking away.
Luke walked behind me, kissing my cheek.
"Hey babe, hey Kelsey!" He said while putting his arm around my waist.
Kelsey looked broke inside, she was speechless.
"Listen Kelsey, thank you for asking but I'm.."
"Gay" She said tearing up, she walked away.
"Yikes" I said while turning towards our lockers.
I grabbed Luke's hand, I felt bad for Kelsey but in the same sense I'm not. I felt bored being at school so I went "home". I walked home and then it hit me, I forgot to tell luke I was skipping. I slowed down but continued walking home. When I got home I went up to Luke's room, jumping on the bed. I quickly fell asleep, I was asleep for probably an hour before someone burst through the door. Luke was breathing heavy, out of breath. I looked at him, he sighed with relief.
"What?" I said looking at him knowing the answer.
"Babe you didn't tell me you were skipping, I was worried. You didn't come to Science, I ran here to make sure you were okay." He said sitting on the end of his bed. I sat up, putting my head on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry" i said pouting.
He kissed my head, while holding me. Luke made me the happiest person on earth, he cared so much. I love him. I laid back down on the bed,luke laying beside me.
"Poor Kelsey" I said looking at him.
"I know, she must of really liked you." He said looking away from me.
"What do you mean?" I said concern mad anxiety boiling up inside me.
"I just, I don't know. I felt bad for her, like I'm the reason she's not happy." He said looking down at his hands.
"Luke, I love you and I'm sure she understands that. Kelsey wouldn't try and break us up. And your beyond amazing, it's okay." I said laying on his chest.
He held me, running his hands through my hair.

•Luke's POV•
Me and Ashton slept all day, I woke up at 1:57 am. I kissed Ashton's forehead, my arms wrapped around him. Being with him was the best feeling in the world. I fell back asleep, not intending or wanting to wake back up again. I smiled because of the fact Ashton wrapped his arms around my neck. I heard him let out a giggle, I felt his arms leave my neck, my arms leaving his sides. He got up and walked out of the room. I got up with a yawn, going out to the kitchen. It was 2:10 am I went to the pantry to see if there was anything I wanted. I sighed, walking out of the pantry. School didn't cross my mind because we got the day off, the teachers had a meeting of some sort. My mom was still sleeping, like a normal person.
"I'm bored" I said looking at Ashton.
"I know, same" He said tapping his fingers on the counter.
"Want to go to Walmart?" I said smiling.
"Are you insane? It's two in the morning!" He said laughing.
After a few moments of silence he nodded his head yes. I live just down the road from a big city, so there was no point in driving. We put on our shoes and jackets, walking out the door. While walking down the street, we laughed and talked. When we walked into Walmart we walked straight into the baked goods. I grabbed a case of cupcakes, and a bunch of cookies. While walking around for awhile we seen the toy section. We walked in laughing, pointing at every toy while making jokes about them. We turned to corner to see three shelves full of different slimes. Ashton's eyes lit up, he grabbed the biggest container, giggling.
"How are we going to pay?" He said looking scared.
I held out my moms debit card.
"I grabbed it before we left." I said smiling.
We walked to the cashier, she smiled.
"You boys." She said rolling her eyes while smiling.
I wrapped my arm around Ashton, her eyes looking somewhat shocked.
"You two are cute." She said smiling.
"Thanks." Ashton said giggling.
Once all our stuff was payed for we started walking out, I turned and kissed Ashton quickly.
"You two stay out of trouble!" She yelled.
I held up a thumbs up. We walked back home, when we reached my house we walked in to see my mom looking annoyed at the counter.
"Mind telling me where you two have been?" She said looking directly at me.
Ashton and me held up our bags. She laughed holding her hand out. I walked up to her putting her card in her hand. We walked up to my room, I got the cookies and cupcakes out. I grabbed a cupcake while Ashton got the slime out. He poked it, cringing.
"Your such a dork!" I said laughing.
"Yeah, I'm your dork." He said looking back.
I took some frosting from my cupcake, putting it on his nose. He looked shocked while taking a piece of slime and throwing it at me.
"Oh you wanna go?" I said laughing and getting up.
"Sure" He said giggling.
I took what was left of my cupcake and threw it at him, landing in his face.
"LUKE!" He said smiling. "Jokes on you I love frosting." He said in a bratty voice.
He got up, kissed me wiping all of the frosting on my face. I loved him, that was for sure.
