Dear boy who busy,

You've noticed that I've been hanging around a certain Hufflepuff, you don't know of his name but you know that I've found comfort in him. Cedric is nothing but a friend. He was there for me when no one else was. I asked if you wanted to walk with me to the carriages but you said you were simply busy. You avoided my eyes and stayed close to Ron and Hermione. If it's something I've done I'm sorry. Was it the second kiss we shared in the Astronomy Tower? Larken said not to worry you were just exhausted, but truth be told it still stung my heart. Now I sit alone in the carriage on our way to the train to take us home. Yet home isn't the word I'd use. The only good thing is that I shall be returning to my brother and then eventually you. But I hope whatever is bothering you will have dissipated by then.

Harry...I dread it. I dread having to return back to that place. Aunt Victoria is a menace her husband worse. I'd give anything to not go back. The bruises fade but the fear does not. Cetus can only do so much because he holds the same fear as I do. They are not kind to us, they make sure that the marks are not seen when guests arrive but they are still there. My heart aches at the thought of having to become the quiet fearful girl again. When I first got to Hogwarts it was hard to break out of it but eventually, I did. And every time I return to the Chateau I can't help but feel like injured prey about to be devoured.  But I guess you'll never know this because you will not receive these.

Arabella's piercing grey eyes looked up from the unfinished letter as the carriage came to a halt. Retrieving her bag and trunk she rose from her seat and followed the mass of students boarding the train. She saw Fred and George ahead of her laughing with Lee Jordan and Angelina Johnson before they vanished into the train. She saw the familiar mop of black hair not too far and cast her eyes down, he was smiling brightly as he walked with Hermione and Ron seeming unbothered by the absence of the grey-eyed girl. She harshly bit the inside of her cheek before rushing past them and boarding the train in search of an empty compartment.

She was pulled back slightly only to find the glowing amber eyes of Larken Blackburn, the dark hair of Cedric Diggory, and much to her surprise her fellow housemate Seo Min-a. The two Hufflepuffs and Slytherin smiled at her before pulling her into the train.

"Did you really think we'd let you sulk by yourself?" Larken laughed as she slid a door open to a compartment.

"I much prefer it." the young Slytherin grumbled which caused Cedric to laugh. Min-a shook her head with a small smile on her lips as they entered the compartment.

"Yes, but what friends would we be if we let you."Min-a sat down next to Larken moving her ink-black hair away from her face her brown eyes focused on Arabella.

"Exactly, Now come here." Cedric nudged her shoulder before pulling her into a hug. She finally caved and hugged back a laugh escaped her lips.

"Yeah...this is better." her sulky mood had quickly changed and she was thankful for it. Even with the thought of returning home in the back of her mind, she didn't let it get in the way of her enjoying her last day with her friends till the start of the term.

"Oi, if it makes it better Potter is jealous," Larken spoke her amber eyes flickering to the door. "He's not too fond of Cedric if I'm honest." Much to her surprise Arabella turned and saw that the green-eyed boy in the compartment right across from them. She gave a small smile and waved to him and he returned it before turning back to Fred and George who were focused on their game of exploding snaps.

Arabella hummed before turning back to three around her a smile still adorned her face. "That legilimency is going to get you in trouble one day Larken."
