Dear boy who I miss dearly,
The oddest thing occurred today. I saw a black dog near the Château, and at that, it would not stop popping up. There are rarely any animals around because of Uncle Boyne. He hates the noise. But it was almost comforting, to know that despite the evil radiating off of that man they still come around. I've been tempted to just turn into my animagus form and disappear. But I could never even fathom leaving Cetus here by himself. It would get so much worse and he does not deserve this. Oh to leave, an early birthday wish. To disappear and disconnect from this horrid family. An orphanage would have been better... It's almost time for the guest to arrive and such a dreadful time it will be. All for the upkeep of the "distinguished Vembulom name". Maybe I just won't show up, could you imagine their faces. The anger they would have, the pure embarrassment to uphold a disgraceful name. Oh, there the black dog goes again. He's been trailing after me all afternoon, every corner I take in the garden I see him behind me. What a clever little fel
Arabella's head snaps up upon hearing the grading voice of her Uncle. He was screeching from the balcony, his bald head gleaming in the dying sunlight. She wasn't able to catch a single word that fell from his mouth but from the way his skin turned red she knew the worst was to come. Tucking the letter into her dress pocket she hurries into the home her palms starting to sweat, her heartbeat quickening ever so slightly.
Before opening the door to the parlor she swallowed the lump in her throat. She tried her hardest to force the fear down but for some reason, it seeped into her skin. Her tan hand gripped the gold handle turning it to reveal something that made her heart sink. Cetus kneeled on the floor his back to the door, Uncle Boyne stood with his wand gripped in his left hand, his face twisted in both anger and slight excitement.
*T.W* abuse, death, fear
"Do you care to explain this?" in his hands he held a letter. Seeing it in his grip made her panic, the sound of the paper crinkling made the young girl visibly shrink away. "Do you think we wouldn't intercept that filthy animal? Do you think we wouldn't find out!" A movement to the right caught Arabella's attention; she could see Gael smiling from the doorway. Her attention was brought back as soon as her uncle started speaking again.
"Dear Cedric,
The only thing keeping me from going insane in this terrible house are your letters and Cetus. If only people realize how horrible this family was maybe things would be a little different. They throw this ridiculous party for the upkeep of their "noble" status. Nobel is an understatement, the Vembulom name held no status before that horrid man married Aunt Victoria."
That's where he stopped, his face red, his fat face full of rage. "Do you find it humorous to make fun of me! Of MY family!" as his voice rose Arabella's heart quickened her eyes casting down.
"AND THAT STUPID BIRD! STUPID, STUPID, BIRD! HOW DARE YOU SPEAK ILL OF ME, YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT!" He threw something her way and she flinched feeling the impact of something hitting her body. Looking down briefly, she quickly averted her eyes. Her muffled sobs made a small smile form on her uncle's face. Below her lay her beloved Apollo, her other hand clutched her chest, her heartbreaking. "You are beyond lucky I don't do what I did to that pest, to you. LOOK AT ME!" Her tear-filled eyes met his. "But you won't get away unpunished for this."
Arabella watched in horror as her uncle brought his wand up. He opened his mouth to use the Crucio curse. Her body crumbled at the immense pain her scream rippling through the air but just as quickly as it had happened it was gone. All air returned her body pulsing. Her gray eyes looked up to her uncle only to see Cetus atop of the fat man and the sickening sound of his fist against the older man's face. She glanced over to her cousin whose eyes were the size of saucers, taking this chance Arabella grabbed a hold of her older brother's arm and quickly fled the parlor. She could hear the cries of her cousin and the harsh breathing of her brother as she pulled him up the stairs.
"Tilly!" she called her eyes full of panic as she slammed the door behind her. As soon as she had called the house-elf was there in a flash.
"Yes ma'am?" the small elf looked up her large lavender eyes sad at the crying girl.
"Please could you quickly gather both Cetus and I's belongings and take them to the um, to the--" her mind running a thousand miles a minute she was at a loss for words.
"To the carriage ma'am?"
"Y-Yes please Tilly. And please be quick we need to leave immediately."
"But ma'am the party is going to begin within the hour." the poor elf looked down fearful of what Victoria would do upon hearing her niece and nephew were gone. "Lady Victoria was very strict with th-"
"Tilly?" Cetus spoke his bloody hands upon his knees, his dark hair covering his pale blue eyes. "Please, as a house elf for the Silvercrest family we ask you to please do this." As the mention of their family, Tilly nodded her small head
"Yes, Master Cetus. For the Silvercrest family, I must serve." and with that, the house-elf left in a flash. Returning with two others the three ran around Arabella's room quickly gathering items. She took the time to start placing her valuable items into the leather "backpack" as Hermione had called it. Her mother's journals, her wand, everything she needed immediately. Cetus hadn't moved till a house-elf handed something over to him.
"Master Cetus." Alt held Cetus' satchel in his small hands before vanishing back to Cetus' room.
"Bells?" She looked over to her brother, his hands shaking. "What have I done." making her way to stand in front of him she took his tan hands into her own.
"Cetus, please look at me." His pale blue eyes looked up to his younger sister full of fear. "This is okay, okay? We're going to be okay Cetus. As long as we have each other everything is always going to be okay." her eyes held an intensity in them that Cetus had never seen, he looked at her and gave her a small smile.
"As long as we have each other Bells."
At that Tilly returned to inform them the carriage was ready. The Silvercrest siblings grabbed their bags and looked at each other before opening the door. Quickly making their way down the stairs they heard the shrill screech of their Aunt before they slammed the grand door. Running to the carriage Arabella quickly informed the driver to take them to the Leaky Cauldron, her eyes frantic as she spotted her Aunt marching towards them. The driver quickly turned the reins and they were off down the long walk, finally leaving their pain and fear behind them. Arabella looked out of the window to see the black dog once again before the large hedges blocked her view.

Big oof, okay so big plot development for the Silvercrest siblings. big oof I felt so bad writing this because I adore Arabella and Cetus but like in all actuality this is what had been going on at home. It's more severe which will be shown in different books but this is just a snippet. Also small introduction to Sirius being around. I hope you at least enjoy the long update and I hope everyone is doing well and is keeping safe. much love.
