Following the remembrall incident, Arabella detested the attention it brought. She was leaving the library after being bombarded by a group of Slytherin girls trying to befriend her for the wrong reasons. Just as the doors shut behind her she collided with another person. Arabella stumbled back slightly, dropping her book in the process.
"Excuse me." She spoke a little harshly, straightening out her robes. She looked up to see a girl with eyes as dark as a black hole staring back at her.
"You're excused." She replied, moving her ink black bangs away from her eyes. Arabella stared at her for a moment, enthralled with how much her tone matched hers.
"I'm sorry?" she asked, a little taken aback.
"No need to apologize," was all she said before reaching behind Arabella to open the door she wasn't blocking. "Best to move out of the way Silvercrest, don't want the next person to run into you as well."
Arabella's eyes had a glint of recognition pass through them, quick to recognize the girl as she departed. She lived in the room next to hers, and belonged to the Seo family, a family notoriously known for working with the Dark Lord.
"Best to move out of the way Silvercrest." she mocked reaching for her book. It was taken from her grasp right before she was able to curl her fingers around it. "What th-"
Once again looking up at another pair of eyes, this time they were warm pools of brown. Surrounding them was fair freckled skin and hair as red as a fire. One of the identical faces from the compartment.
"Seems like you dropped something." he spoke with a crooked smile, he almost seemed to radiate mischievousness. "You're Arabella Silvercrest right?
"I am, and you are?" a small unamused frown formed on her face as she took the book from his hands.
"Fred Weasley. It's finally nice to meet you, well formally." he gave a small chuckle before he stood straight. He towered over the young girl, his eyes never leaving hers.
"Ara-" she cleared her throat embarrassed "Ah, yes well it seems you know my name already, pleasure to meet you Fred." her eyes flickered to the lion emblem adorning his robes, his tousled hair and his crooked smile. "I, thank you for picking up my book. I appreciate it, but I'm headed to the dining hall so if you'd excuse me." she moved to walk away only to be blocked.
"Hey, I know we just met, but would you like to have lunch with my friends and I?" He looked a little sheepish, his hand upon the nape of his neck. The young girl was a little taken aback, her cheeks flushing ever so slightly. Remember to have fun. Have fun...
"I'd love to." a small smile formed returning his large toothy grin.
"Fantastic! Let's go." he grabbed her hand hastily making his way towards the dining hall. She was dragged behind him letting out an exasperated sigh as she was pulled through the crowd. Suddenly she was met face to face with red and gold and bouts of laughter.
"Fred! There you are, oh and look at that he's brought a little snake along." she stood behind the tall red head nervously feeling the eyes of her rivaling house burning down on her. "Arabella I presume. Harry here hasn't been able to shut up about you and that remembrall incident, in fact no one can. George, the handsome twin." he winked at her, earning an eye roll and smile in return.
"Pleasure to meet you George, the handsome twin. Harry, thank you for aiding with Malfoy, he can be such an arse.." he looked at her with a smile and deep red face matching that of his friend Ron. "Hello Ron, good to see you again." he only nodded a little flustered, shoving a sandwich into his mouth hastily.
"Yes, well. Thank you for inviting the enemy to the table." she smirked sitting beside the dark haired boy with circular glasses. "Shall we eat?"
