70th Hunger Games Ending

Dakota panted as she held her bow from releasing her arrow on the last tribute from District 2. She heard the cannon blow as the tribute fell in the water from the highest part of the arena, then silence...pure silence for the first time in what feels like years.

"Lady's and gentlemen, our 70th Annual Hunger Games winner. Dakota Charles." Said the Game-maker over the arena. Dakota closed her eyes and opened them again. She couldn't believe it she won the games. She won the games! Dakota nearly broke out in tears, she only wanted to win to see her mother again and her best friend, a now fellow victor. Dakota was released by her thoughts when she heard gushing winds. She looked up and saw a Capitol's plane. Her long blonde hair brushing her face from its pony tail, her green eyes duller than ever. The plane lowered, and the wind settled down. The hatch opened, and Dakota walked slowly and hastily to the plane where a Peace-keeper came to meet her. He reached for her hand and she took it, walking onto the ship. As Dakota entered with the Peace-keeper she passed many more keepers, after taking a few more steps they stopped. The Peace-keeper held his hand out and Dakota stared at it. He moved his hand and she thought that he must have wanted her bow and arrows. She gave him the bow and reached the strap of her quiver and pulled it over her head, she then handed it to the Peace-keeper. He turned and strode off. Dakota stood there for a minute then the plane started again, and she fell into a seat. She fumbled for the buckles of the seat, when she finally got it they were fully in the air. She couldn't stop thinking about seeing her mother again, Lauren Charles, a lovely woman with some hard-core stubbornness, just like what Dakota has. She also couldn't stop think about what she had just done, she killed a tribute, she killed 3 tributes and one was a fellow truce member who betrayed her. Dakota's mother may never forgive her and the family of the tributes she killed would hate her forever. She was nervous about the Victors Tour but knew it would be worst in District 2. Dakota tilted her head to the roof of the plane and let her heavy eyes close and sleep. She couldn't wait to see her mother again and here,

Dakota Charles, the 70th Annual Games winner...
