It took awhile for us to land. Most of the time, Mike or Murray would be distracting Erica, and we would miss a good spot to land. It was honestly a surprise that we didn't run out of gas. We end up landing in a grassland. However, we aren't in Texas or anywhere near that, at least I don't think so.
"Hey Erica," I say. "Where are we?"
"The Philippines," she answers.
"What?!" Zoe exclaims.
"Yeah, the Philippines," Erica sighs. "Mike and Murray distracted me so much that we left North America and past every other place we could have landed."
"How is that even possible?" Zoe asks.
"I don't know, but it happened," Erica replied.
"Look, we're sor-" Mike starts to say.
He can't even finish his sentence before someone starts choking him.
That someone is me.
"Ben! Let go of him!" Zoe screams.
Murray runs behind her, scared of me.
"Because of you and Murray, we might just be farther away from my mom, and worst of all, we can't even get Cyrus or Catherine's help!" I yell, choking Mike even more. "This is all your fault!"
Erica pries me off of Mike.
"Ben, calm down," she says.
"Calm down? You expect me to calm down?!" I explode.
I shove Erica to the ground. I keep yelling, unable to hold in my anger any longer.
I look back at Erica. She hasn't gotten up yet. At first, I couldn't tell that anything was wrong. Then, I see the tiniest hint of sadness in her eyes. It grew to the point where she was about to cry.
"Erica, hey," I gulp, realizing my stupid mistake.
I don't get to say anything else.
Erica gets up, turns away, and runs.
(A/N) Hello! Look, I know the logic doesn't make sense, but cut me some slack. I promise that this is going somewhere, you just have to trust me on this.
