Appearance: Marise has straight long glossy black hair that trails down to her back, and often sweeps it over one shoulder. She has round thin rimmed metal glasses that enunciate her red eyes and pale skin. She is pretty lanky and tall, and wears a white button up under a black blazer, with a plaid red skirt reaching her knees with flats to match. When sleeping she ties her hair up in a loose bun.
Personality: Marise is well mannered and polite, respectful of everyone and in turn expecting the same respect. She is not necessarily the warmest to others and doesn't express her emotions often due to her being raised in a traditional home with high standards expected of her. Maarise has an admirable amount of patience and her strong initiative often places her in the position of the leader of a group. She doesn't exactly run on compassion, but works for the common good and is fair in settling disagreements due to her unbiased and logical viewpoint. Marise is very intelligent, but keeps her ideas to herself more often than not. As a matter of fact, she rarely speaks unless she thinks it is important enough to say out loud. She does not believe in hope or despair or any of that 'wishy washy stuff", saying that hard work and effort will get you where you need to go. Her flaws lie in her inability to form emotional attachments well and is often seen as cold and uncaring due to her stony exterior. While she may be unfeeling on the outside, to a special few she can open up that rock she is on the outside to reveal the complicated and swirling mix of emotions she harbors inside, but has learned to conceal over the years. Execution: "Ink Blot Rough Draft!"
Marise is positioned on a piece of paper, chained tightly by iron shackles to the podium behind it. A large Monokuma in a Shakespeare-esque feather hat offers a charming smile to the execution camera before testing the calligraphy pen he has on the paper next to Marise. Slowly the pen scribbles a line to test the ink, and soon the pen begins flying at an uncomprehendable pace across the paper, leaving beautiful swirls of looping letters behind. The pen swirls and scribbles row after row, and as it begins the row parallel to Marise's neck, it writes violently, but pauses right before it decapitates her. The pen had stopped writing with ink! The Monokuma frustratedly shook the pen to get the ink flowing again, and after a violent shake, ink splattered all over Marise leaving her a black dripping figure. The toxin entered through her mouth and she choked on it, and Marise soon suffocated in the ink. As her limp corpse sagged on the paper, Monokuma grabs the paper and proudly shows it to the execution camera. The paper said:

With the black puddle that Marise's body hung on being the dot of the exclamation point.

How they got their Talent: As a child, Marise was encouraged and raised to inherit the Togami empire, and her mother showed her tricks to gambling in her free time when she was not being educated in business and company management. But during her days at school, Marise found a passion in writing, and her classmates and teachers commended her on her impeccable handwriting. People began asking for commissions, and after her work was publicized as well as her well-known family name being attributed to her popularity, she was invited to attend Hope's Peak as the Ultimate Calligrapher.
