I kissed Louis’s forehead and slipped out of his comfy bed. I covered myself up with my arms and walked towards the drawers that I now own. He gave me three and half the closet. Not like I needed that space, but he insisted. I was just about to open the wooden drawer before I slipped on something. I came crashing to the ground and hit my bum hard. I grabbed the thing I slipped on, one of the pieces to the lingerie that Louis bought me. I smiled then quickly got up.
“You okay?” Louis asked his voice groggy and barley there.
“Yeah, I’m fine. What are you doing today?” I asked. He shrugged and lay back down on his bed. Not very long after, his snoring commenced. I rolled my eyes and grabbed a pair of yellow shorts and a black and white striped tank top and waltzed to the bathroom. Once I got dressed I stared at my reflection. Pulling at my skin, I watched as the girl on the other side quickly transformed. There, in front of me, was Jonah. Well it wasn’t Jonah but it was a figment of my imagination. He was snarling at me, like I did something wrong.
“Your nothing, I will find you and your little boyfriend. I will kill you.” He scowled. I drew back in shock, shaking my head to make it all go away. He was laughing, he couldn’t hurt me, but it felt like he was really there. I screamed as loud as I could and whipped my fist at the mirror. An explosion of reflective glass went everywhere. I cried out in pain as the shards flew past me, leaving bloody scratches. I fell to the ground, clutching my fist. The tensor around my hand helped a bit, but my wrist was killing. It’s been about two weeks since I broke it and it’s already better. Well, not anymore. I felt the tears roll down my face as I examined the bloody mess that was once my fist. I heard someone knocking on the door. Suddenly it came swinging open, and Louis stood there. His face completely drained of colour when he saw the scene that I had made.
“What the hell happened?!” He screamed. He raced over to me, dodging the glass scattered on the floor. I was too busy crying to speak; he came close and sat beside me. He held my head to his chest, I studied his it rising and falling.
“I’m sorry; I’ll buy you another mirror.” I sniffed. He chuckled and kissed the top of my head.
“I don’t care about the mirror; let’s just get you to the doctor about that wrist.” He suggested. I began picking the glass out of my knuckles, cringing every time one was freed.
“I’m fine, there are just a few scratches, and my wrist feels fine.” I lied. My wrist is killing me, and I might need stitches.
“No, come on. I’m driving you, let’s go.” He ordered. I decided not to argue and walked with him out of the bloody bathroom.
Jonah is haunting me. He is in my mind, teasing me. All I can think about is him hurting another person I love. I have to do something; I can’t let Louis get hurt. He is innocent; all he did was love me. I turned to him and watched as he shoved popcorn into his mouth. After I got some stitches and a check up on my wrist, Louis and I rented a movie and came back to his apartment to watch it. I lay my head on his shoulder, I can’t waste anymore time. I can be happy with Louis when Jonah is gone. I stared into his blue eyes, never wanting to leave his side.
“What’s wrong, love?” He asked.
“Nothing, just thinking.” I responded quietly. I felt Louis’s phone vibrate in his pocket. I quickly got up so he could answer.
“Hello?” He asked. I heard a mumbling voice before Louis hung up.
“Who was that?” I asked.
“Niall, apparently I was supposed to hang out with him today.” He laughed. An idea shot into my mind. If Louis’s isn’t here that means I can leave without him asking questions. I know exactly where I should go.
