"MOTHER!! FATHER!!" I cried, Duncan was holding me back from the house in front of us, the one engulfed in bright orange flames.
"Isadora, you have to stay away from the house! It's not safe!" My brother spoke to me like everything was okay, but it wasn't, Mother and Father are still in there and there was no chance of them escaping now. But there was someone else missing. I look towards my brother and see that there is only one of him, which can only mean...
"DUNCAN, WHERE IS QUIGLEY?!" I screamed, tears started running down my cheeks, wiping off the darkness the smoke had left. Duncan looked around, he was obviously distressed but he was reigning to hide it, for my sake I reckon. He looked me in the eye, the sadness in them made it obvious that Quigley wasn't coming back. And neither were Mother and Father. The smoke swirled in the night sky, rising up and up. I held on to Duncan as the police pulled us away from the burning wreckage that we once called home, we stared just long enough to watch the whole building collapse...
I woke up, gasping for air, tears rolling down my face, I sat up and came face to face with everyone. Klaus was sat by me, on the edge of my bed, his eyes full of worry. Violet, Quigley and Duncan stood behind him, looking down on me with the same expression as Klaus. I made eye contact with Quigley and leapt into his arms, holding onto my brother like I didn't want to let go. I didn't.
"I thought you were gone...you weren't outside...we were...Duncan and I were...and we couldn't find you..." I burst into uncontrollable tears and cried into Quigley's shoulder.
"Dora, we're all okay, Quigley is okay, we're okay, Klaus, Violet and Sunny are okay. You can stop worrying now. It's over and we're all safe" Duncan said his voice was full to the brim of sympathy.
"What? Can someone please explain what just happened?!" Klaus, was still sitting on my bed, the only movement he had made was the turn necessary for him to look at me, his face turned pale and his green eyes were hidden behind his falling glasses. So, I let go of Quigley and walked over to where he sat, wiping the tears away with the back of my hand as I did so. I reached out and pushed his glasses back into their proper place, before throwing my arms around his neck and sitting on his lap. He welcomed me and wrapped his arms around my waist. His arms forming a sort of seatbelt, preventing the otherwise inevitable fall from his lap.
"Isadora has nightmares, about you guys, Quigley and I...she's been having them since we first arrived at Prufrock Prep...they won't stop..." Duncan said calmly.
"Why won't they stop? She knows we're all safe..." Violet countered. This obviously bothered her. But it bothered me more! They were all talking about me like I wasn't in the room! I was right there, under their noses! They were ignoring me!
"Okay, can we talk about this in the morning?" I asked, clutching onto Klaus "I really want to sleep"
"Sure, I'm up for sleep" Quigley said, turning around to exit the large room. Everyone followed, Violet even left to say goodnight to Quigley.
"Will you stay with me?"
"Of course Issy, I'd do anything for you"
Klaus and I sat in silence, enjoying the pure bliss that was each other's company before we both drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up to find someone next to me. A very shirtless Klaus was lying on my bed, in a peaceful sleep, his glasses balancing on top of the extensive and dangerously tall pile of books gathered on my bedside table. Should I wake him? I mean, I know that I like him, so the view is obviously pretty...well...pretty, but we need to get up at some point. I stare at his motionless and perfect face. A happiness spread through me and consumed my every thought, the smile it caused etched it's way into my face. I realised then that I didn't like Klaus Baudelaire. I LOVED Klaus Baudelaire. He made my heart scream in joy, he made my head swirl, he made my stomach flip, and he made my smile spread. I lay there next to him, trying my hardest not to move, for a good twenty minutes before his eyes slowly opened, revealing his beautiful emerald eyes. He smiled at me before turning around to find his glasses. His current lack of vision caused the large stack of books and Klaus' glasses to fall from the bedside table onto the floor.
"Crap! I'm so sorry Isadora..." he quickly got out of bed and began blindly picking the books up.
"No, it's my fault, I should have taken them back to the library" I said, following him out of bed and picking up his glasses from the floor, I handed them to him and began picking the books up. We stacked book after book, hardback after paperback until every book was ready for their return to the library.
"Thank you for helping me Klaus" I said, avoiding his gaze. I could feel the familiar shade of crimson returning to my cheeks and the smile I tried my hardest to hide, crept onto my face. It's clear that I'm not very subtle...
"No problem, it was fun." He replied, obviously attempting to do the same "Here, I'll take them for the library for you."
He took the small pile of books from my hands and balanced them on the pile he was cradling in his arms, this didn't work, because the stack grew so tall that he couldn't see over them.
"Klaus, at least let me carry some books! I can come with you, besides, Miss Emptee likes me, she's never met you"
I took back half of the books klaus was carrying and we made our way to the library. Passing Violet and Quigley in the dormitory, very much holding hands, completely smitten by each other. We crept silently through the dorm, so silently that neither Violet or Quigley noticed us. We sighed in success and made our way down the long, bleak, boring corridors, chatting joyfully...until we heard the voice...
"Where are YOU going?!"
