Hunter

Chapter 7

Annabelle heard the oven timer go off so she rushed over to get her cake out.

Then she went back to reading her mum's journal.

There was a lot of stuff in here.

A hunting log of all the things that Demi had caught or killed.

A list of all the hunters that died in trials.

And many other things.

Annabelle put down the journal and tried not to be frightened.

She was going to try and keep it from Demi that she knew.

Demi will tell her eventually wouldn't she?

No screw that plan Annabelle was going to confront her and say that she knew what she was hiding from her and ask her why she didn't tell her.

Yep that's the new plan.

Annabelle went over to start making the icing for her cake.

Demi had finished her meeting with Reno so drove home.

She had thought about his offer and agreed to become a lead, its what shes always wanted.

When she gets home she is going to tell Annabelle about everything and show her the journal.

Then they will move to Hobart together and she will become a hunter in training.

She will make sure Annabelle trains hard and works hard enough so she won't die in trials.

She pulled into the drive way and got out of the car.

Annabelle heard a car pull into the drive way and then a car door close.

Her mother walked up to the door and came inside.

Annabelle put the cake down on the table and set out some plates.

"What's this?" Demi asked surprised.

"I'm putting my cooking skills to use."

They both sat down at the table.

"So how was your date?"

"Good. Annabelle we need to talk." She said then walked over to the coffee table and found her journal opened.

"Yes we do."
