Chapter 23

Today was the day.

The day to determine Annabelle's life.

It was her trial.

She and Drew had been working her butt off for the past week, so she really hoped they wouldn't die.

Now she was walking towards the arena that she had to trial.

Drew waited for her outside the arena.

He held out his hand for her and she took it.

Then they walked into the arena together.

They had to trial by themselves.

Marina walked into the room and i looked like she hadn't slept for days.

She was obviously missing her sister dearly.

"Hey guys. I'm your instructor for the day." She said.

Annabelle ran up and gave her a huge hug.

"Wheres Mimmy?" Drew asked. "Isn't she supposed to trial too."

Marina pulled back from the hug.

"She came to see me last night. She pulled out."

She put down the list on the table.

"Drew, you're up first." She said and then opened a door. "These are all the weapons. Choose your starter."

Drew picked up a big sword.

"Just a tip. Use the big swords when there are heaps of em. Like half way through."

He nodded and put down the sword.

Then he picked up a crossbow.

"You will also need these." Marina said holding out a small bag.

In the bag was twenty syringes of wolfsbane and twenty syringes of holy water.

Marina lead them back out to the controls room.

"I will send you in there and then send in your weapon, then the vampires and wolfs and you will have to get your weapon before they do. Then at the end, once you have killed them press the red button in the middle of the room and we will send in a random weapon for your next round."

She walked over and opened the door to the arena.

Drew started towards it but Annabelle stopped him and pulled him in for a kiss.

They pulled away.

"I love you." She said. "I mean I really love you."

He smiled. "I really love you too."

"Hey Drew." Marina said. "Try not to die ok..."

He nodded.

Than turned around and walked through the door where he would trial.
