Chapter 21

Drew took Annabelle's hand and led her into town.

"So where are we going?" Annabelle asked.

"You'll see..." He said.

Then he took her other hand in his and lead her down to a small creek.

It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen in her life.

The sun was shining on the beautiful blue water.

Drew took off his shirt and ran and jumped into the water.

"You coming in?" He asked after a couple of minutes.

She smiled and took off her clothes and jumped in.

Drew and Annabelle swam around for about an hour.

"I love the water!" Annabelle said.

"I know." Drew said smiling.

They swam again for another half hour then got out.

Drew wrapped a towel around Annabelle's shoulders and kissed her on the cheek.

Then they both sat down on the grass and cuddled up together.

"I wish we could just run away." Annabelle blurted out. "I hate all this training just to be a hunter. It's just like a pig being raised for slaughter."

Drew looked at her. "It is true. We will die one day, whether it's being murdered or dieng of old age, we will die with dignity."

"I don't like feeling like this. Sure it makes me feel impowered but it also makes me feel really scared, like something is going to kill me at any minute. I just want to leave, but no one will let me."

"I know, I used to feel like that when I first got here. But it goes away eventually."

"I hope so."

Drew leaned in and traced his fingers over her face then kissed her.

They both pulled away from each other and then Drew started kissing her shoulders, then her back and then her neck.

"We'd better get back now." Annabelle said. "So we can get some late training in. We have only got a week till trials."

"I know. It's gone so fast." He said.

Annabelle got up out of Drew's embrace and got her clothes on.

Drew put his shirt on. "Let's get out of here." He said taking her hand then he led her away.

Reno didn't have much longer, he knew his time would be up soon.

He had a vision, it had came to him in a dream.

David was going to kill him.

He had to try and change it.

There were ways to do it, but he had no idea how.

Maybe he could get one of his daughters to help out.

But Marina, Arrow or Diana wouldn't cut it.

They couldn't be the ones to help him.

Luckily he had a fourth daughter.

That might work...

Mimmy walked out into the woods where David had told her to meet him.

"Thank you for coming." He said as he walked into her view.

"Why did you want me to meet you here?" She asked.

"I just wanted to make sure you are on my side. Are you prepared to kill Annabelle for the exchange of me turning you?"

"I am. But I need to know I can trust you."

He walked closer and looked straight into her eyes.

They were mesmerising.

She just looked into them and let her guard down.

"You can trust me." He pushed to her mind and said at the same time.

She stood there silent for a minute.

"Do you believe me?" He asked.

"Why should I trust you?"

"I'm giving you the best gift in the world. Immortality. So I will ask you again. Do you trust me?"

She lookeed into his eyes once more. "Yes."

"Good." He said then walked away into the night.

Marina walked out into the forest.

She took out her bow and arrow and aimed it at the distance.

She shot the arrow and hit her target.

She knew where he was coming from and she hit him.

David screeched out in pain.

Marina ran up to him and called out to her sisters.

Arrow and Diana emerged from the darkness holding out their weapons at the ready.

"Tell us when Marina." Arrow said.

Then David lunged at Diana who was unprepared and snapped her neck.

Marina and Arrow screamed and ran to her but David ran off with her body into the darkness.

Marina and Arrow ran to the leads building.

"Reno!" They screeched as they almost banged the door down.

Demi and Mitchell came to the door.

"What do you want girls?" Demi asked.

"We need to talk to our father." Arrow said.

"You need to leave." Mitchell said. "You can't be here."

"Diana is dead!" Marina said. "We need to talk to Reno!"

Reno walked to the door. "Come in."

Both the girls rushed in.

"What is going on!?" Mayim said entering the room.

"Dianna is dead." Reno said.

"David killed her and dragged off her body." Arrow said.

Mayim covered her mouth with her hand.

"We need to put an end to him now." Mitchell said and grabbed a blow torch and moved toward the front door.

Demi ran up and stopped him. "I won't let you die aswell."

That was all that needed to be said.
