It was about a week after the incident on the fifth floor. Sal was still pretty shaken up, mainly because the three scratches on his back and the 6 were gone when he woke up the next day.
"Sal, dude, you still with us?" Larry nudged the blue haired boy, smiling at him.
"Huh... oh uh, yeah. Just... thinking about... dogs." Sal shrugged, sighing. Todd pushes up his glasses in the classic nerdy style and eyes Sal.
"Don't you hate dogs?" Ash muttered. Sal nodded. Before anyone had the chance to ask anything else, the final bell rang. Sal turned to Larry, a twinkle in his eye.
"What're you doing after school today?" Sal questioned, already dreading that school had started back up again.
"I..." Larry's face went red. "I kinda sorta have a date." Sal's heart sank. Sure, they'd only shared one kiss, and it happened when both boys were totally baked, but still.
"Oh... with uh... who?" Sal stammered.
"Isn't it obvious?" Larry smirked.
Sal felt like shriveling into a hole and just crying. The boy backed up and turned his gaze down to the floor, "I uh... I don't know..."
"You, ya dingus." Larry flicked the forehead of Sal's prosthetic, his whole face red.
Sal's head shot up to face Larry. "Wait what?" Was all he could manage. "When did you ask me out?" Sal questioned, surprised.
"I didn't need to. You kissed back on New Year's Eve, so it's kinda obvious that you fell for the long haired Lar~" Larry winked, causing Sal's whole face to beam a crimson red. Luckily, he had his mask to hide it.
Sal smiled and hugged Larry, the boy's head only coming up to Larry's chest. The taller quickly hugged back.
"Class, now." A teacher sighed as the two giggling boys locked hands and walked to their next class.
...
The classes were boring as always, so when the final bell of the day finally rang Sal excitedly jumped up and slung his bag around his shoulder.
"The bell doesn't dismiss you, I do, Mr. Fisher." Mrs. Packerton glared. Sal slumped back into his seat, huffing angrily as class was finally dismissed.
"Got hit with that ol' teacher knowledge, Sal." Larry snickered. Sal couldn't help the anxiety that bubbled up in his stomach. He thought that it was stupid that he felt that way about something so small, but he couldn't help it.
"Y-Yeah. Sure did." Sal fake chuckled. Larry gave him a suspicious look.
"You alright, blue?" Larry mumbled. Sal simply nodded.
...
Sal was feeing nervous, his date with Larry was in an hour. He's just glad that it's Friday.
"Sally"
Sal spun around, his eye catching what he thought was a person, but that disappeared. He ignored it, fixing his pigtails and messy white button up shirt. He shrugged at the black ripped jeans and converse, undoing the buttons on his sleeves so that they hung freely over his hands.
Just as he walk about to walk out he felt a burning on his wrist. He looked down, thinking that he had accidentally scratched one of his cuts. To his dismay, and horror, what lay there, on his wrist was another 6.
"Larry? Larry. I'm coming." Sal muttered into the walkie, clipping on his prosthetic as he raced down to the other boy's room. Excitedly, he knocked at the door, even though it was practically his second home.
Larry swung open the door. He was wearing a black button up with a red tie, a neat pair of jeans, converse, and his hair was up in a messy bun. Sal starred, blushing under his mask.
"You gunna come in or just stand there?" Larry smiled. Sal shook his head and headed inside. Once Larry had come and stood next to his.... friend? Sal lightly punched his arm.
"What was that for?!" Larry groaned. Sal smiled.
"For making me feel things for someone, you asshat." Sal blushed more, removing his prosthetic. "So what's on the agenda?"
"Well, follow me to the treehouse." Larry smiled.
The taller led Sal to the treehouse. Sal sat his prosthetic at the base of the tree as both boys climbed up. Once inside, Sal's eyes twinkled at the sight of candles, what looked like fettuccine Alfredo, and soda. He couldn't help the smile that crept onto his face.
"Sorry... it's uh... it's the best I could do." Larry blushed. Sal turned to him.
"Larry." Sal started.
"I know that you don't like eating in public places, but your face is beautiful and- and... I'm glad you hit me in the nose with your prosthetic, so I could see your face, you're so amazing and- sorry. I'm rambling... and I cut you off. What were you gunna say?" Sal blushed and stared at Larry again.
"I don't even remember..." Sal blushed. "Thank you..."
Larry smiled, rubbing the back of his neck as they both sat down and started eating, quit music playing in the background: not Sanity's fall, but softer sounding music. They both enjoyed the food, laughing and just having a nice time.
After 4 hours, Sal had to go home. Larry walked him to his apartment door, their hands tangled together.
"I had a nice time, Lar." Sal smiled, grabbing his prosthetic.
Just as he was about to slip it on, Larry smirked and pulled him into a passionate kiss. Neither one of them pulled away for a while, not until they both needed air. Sal blushed and smiled more, kissing Larry's cheek as he entered his apartment.
