Sal stayed huddled up to Larry, scared that whatever was happening, was real.

"Don't panic! We're turning on the vents!" A teacher called, and just like that, the smell grew worse. A sound fluttered around the room, old mechanisms coming to life.

"What do they mean? What does this have to do with the vents?" Larry whispered to Sal, very quietly.

"I-I don't know..." Sal muttered back, shaking. Larry instinctively wrapped an arm around Sal's shoulder, calming his nerves a bit.

"This concludes our critical lockdown. Please stay safe and have a nice evening." The intercom announced. Sal took a deep breath, one full of relief.

"At least it's over now, Blue." Larry smiled, taking his boyfriends hand and helping him up.

"All students please make your way to the front of the school for pickup. Buses will be there, too." The principals voice called, it seemed shaky. Sal froze, then shook his head.

The lockdown was real.

Very real.

"Hey, it's ok. Probably just a ventilation problem. Maintenance will fix it." He smiled as Sal nodded. "Now c'mon. Let's get going." Larry chuckled, a deep husky laugh that Sal found oh so attractive.

"I'll catch up. I need to get my stuff." Sal smiled. Larry nodded and walked ahead of Sal, out of the locker rooms.

"Hey freak." Sal heard a voice snarl behind him. The boy slowly turned on his heel, coming face to face with a blue eyed dark haired boy.

Trevor.

Trever was the "best friend" of Travis. Fake, of course.

"W-What do you want?"

Ever since Sal accidentally embarrassed Trevor in front of the whole class by nudging him and causing him to fall, he's had it out for Sal.

"Well, there are many things I want." He shrugged. "But first of all I want you you to disappear." He snickered.

"What does that mean?" Sal replied.

"It means a lot of things. Now... perish!" With those words Trevor quickly opened a locker and shoved Sal inside, closing it and placing his lock over it.

"Hey! Let me out!" Sal panic, banging his hands on the inside of the locker.

"I've placed a very... specific... type of poison inside the vents. Then, I convinced the teachers to run the vents. It's lethal. And now, you're trapped. Have fun, baby blue." Trevor grimaced.

Sal panicked, screaming at the top of his lungs as he pounded on the small, boxy locker. He screamed until he felt like his vocal cords had been split in half, tearing apart with each banshee howl.

"Let me out! Let me out!!!"

What did he mean poison?

Now that Sal thought about it, he was feeling very tired. Very dizzy. Very.... sick.

Sal curled into a small ball, the locker big enough to sustain his tiny body. Each breath he snatched in felt like he'd just inhaled fire, each choked sob he let out was full of a heart tearing pain, and each small sprinkle of hope he'd had of the further was slowly crashing down on him, a dark cloud that consumed his mind and drove him to insanity.

"I heard it in here!" A voice, after what seemed like forever, called. A sliver of light peeked through the space that Sal filled. That sliver turned into a pool of yellow light that seeped through the darkness in Sal's mind.
