Sal stopped and continued to look at the drawer, but refused.
"No... I can't... dear god not again..." Sal mumbled walking out of the bathroom.
"Pick up your fucking phone bitch..." Sal sighed, typing in Travis' number.
"Ahem... who's this?"
"Sal Fisher."Sal replied, an audible wince coming from the other side of the phone.
"What do you want, sinner?" Came the reply.
"I don't fucking know. You know how to fight, correct?" Sal hissed.
"I mean, I take some karate and used to do wrestling in middle school. Why?" Travis sounded actually sincere.
"Teach me. I need to kick a bitch and Larry's ass." Sal snarled.
"Hm... let me guess... Mr. perfect cheated?" Travis asked.
"Fuck you!"
"Ah ah ah. A student shouldn't treat their teacher like that now should they, pet?" Travis spat. "My house?" Travis questioned.
"Your house." Sal sighed.
...
"So you skipped yesterday... cause you were at Travis' house?" Ashley asked, suspiciously. Sal glared.
"Is there a problem with that?" Sal asked.
"You went from stabbing the guy in the hand to being all buddy buddy with him! Yeah, there's a problem, Sally Face." Ashley replied. Sal stood up, pushing his tray away from him just as he heard a voice call from behind him.
"Blue..."
Larry.
Sal sounds around, coming face to face with the only person he didn't want to see.
"Blue... I was drunk I'm sorry she's just a-" Larry put his hand on the cheek of Sal's prosthetic, his voice soothing. He looked like he'd been crying.
"You... you cheated on me, Lar... I thought you love me?!" Sal shouted, swatting Larry's hand away.
"I was drunk, Sal! I was drunk and high! I'm sorry ok?!" Larry yelled back.
"Drunk words are sober thoughts!!" Sal snared, pushing Larry out of the way and running out of the cafeteria.
"What... just happened?" Ashley asked, concern masking her feminine features.
"I got drunk, and..." tears began to well up in Larry's eyes. "I was with this girl... I felt alone and just wanted a fuck buddy I guess..." Larry sniffled, rubbing furiously at his eyes.
"Lar... you know he has trust issues... you know the things Travis did and how sensitive he is towards losing people... go after him, before it's too late and we're all missing someone." Todd sighed. Larry nodded, running outside.
"Sal!" He shouted, looking at Sal who was standing under a tree with Travis. Both boys turned in unison and looked at Larry. Sal was holding an amulet of sorts and a strange device. "What're you..." Larry started.
Sal took off his mask and set it at the base of the tree. "Stand back, Lar... I've lost enough already..." it was at that point that Larry noticed that Travis was holding a crucifix and a Bible, but there was something off about him.
His eyes.
Travis' eyes had an unmistakable red tint to them.
Sal mouthed something as he slipped the amulet around his neck and pressed a button on the device. Just like that, Travis stumbles back, something dark and clouding filling the air around Sal and Travis. Then, just as soon as it came, it was gone, disappearing into the amulet. Travis was on the ground, holding his stomach in pain, and Sal was stumbling around.
"We did it!" Sal smiled as small black dots began clouding his vision.
"Sal?" Larry was concerned. Just as Sal fell to the ground Ashley and Todd burst through the door.
"LARRY!!" Todd shouted, raising his arm up in the air. Larry rushed over to Sal, putting Sal's head in his lap.
"Wake up wake up wake up..." Larry noticed the six on Sal's wrist, the one that happened before their date. He recalled the one on his wrist, it happened before Sal wake din on him and the other girl. Todd ran over to Larry, showing him his wrist that now also had a six on it.
"They happen before big events..." Sal muttered, sitting up. "Mine was before..." Sal seemed to choke back a sob. "Before mine and Larry's date. Larry's was before I... caught him. And I presume, Todd, that you're happened before I tricked the demon into being trapped in the amulet." Sa pointed to the amulet around his neck.
"How'd you know when mine happened?" Larry questioned.
"Because I was with you that day, before I caught you. I was with you... everyday before that too. You usually wear short sleeves so I do look at your wrists because I was worried. Sorry." Sal muttered, chewing on the last word a bit.
Sorry.
"Blue... look at me. How can I prove to you that I do love you... that I do care... that that other girl was just... an easy fuck. Sal Fisher, I'm so so so sorry... I love you." Larry sighed, placing a hand on Sal's exposed cheek. The touch made Sal flinch. He looked at Larry, then pulled him into a hug and began to cry lightly.
"I'm sorry to Lar..." Sal sobbed. Todd smiled and Ashley squealed.
"I'm fine too!!" Tracks shouted, sitting up and wiping vomit off of his mouth. Sal got up and walked over to Travis.
"Is it over?" Sal asked.
"It feels like it." Travis sighed.
"Now all we... need to do... is stop a cult." Todd mumbled, not even believing the words as they fell out of his mouth.
"Well... I believe in us." Sal smiled, gripping the amulet and sliding his hand into Larry's.
