Chapter 17: Forget about it

Suddenly the door opens and Jake quickly pulls away looking slightly disappointed."Hey would you's like anything to eat?" Karen asks. "Uh no thanks" i reply, "Can you bring some coke and chips?" Jake asks. "Yeah sure" she replies and walks out. I can feel the awkwardness getting worse. "So Kate is something wrong?, please talk to me" Jake pleads. "Uh yeah I...I'm fine" I manage to say listen "I'm sorry" he says pulling me into a hug.

"Lets forget about it yeah?" he asks, I don't know what go into me but I  pushed him away and walked all the way to my house. I managed to get there without crying, I shut the door, ran to my room and started crying into my pillow. How could he say that when it was so special? so delicate and so beautiful. 

Jake:

After Kate walked out and slammed the door mum came running in. "Jake what happened?" she asks. "Kate got pissed at me and ran off" i reply sitting on my bed. "Did you say anything?" mum asks sitting next to me. "I don't know how to tell you this" i say staring at my feet. "Go on" she urges so I do, "I was about to kiss Kate when you walked in. Then when you went to get the food I told her we should forget about it" i finish taking a breath. Suddenly it hits me, I told her to forget about a really special moment, "oh Jake you really stuffed up this time" she says with a shake of her head.

Mum gets up to leave and closes the door behind her. Suddenly my phone starts ringing. I pick it up and find that it's Ellie "Hey Jake is Kate with you?" she asks sounding worried "i called her so much times". "Uh no Kate isn't here, she got really angry at me and walked out" i reply. Why what did you do? Ellie asks. "I'll tell you later" i reply hanging up.  I honestly don't know what to do anymore, i think I'm going to go find her and see if she's alright.

Kate:

My heart hurts and i don't know how to describe this pain but it's really bad and it hurts alot. I knew this would happen, it would've  been better if i had just kept my guard  up. But  I  didn't and now I'm  here , i feel tears sliding down my face and Ellie keeps calling me.  I just don't  know what to do, i look for my razor but i can't find it anywhere.

I hear the door open and i see Jake standing there. "Go away" i whisper as a tear slides down my cheek. "Kate listen I'm sorry" he says "please let my explain" he continues bending down to wipe a tear off my face. "Kate i didn't mean to say that  please forgive me" he pleads taking my hand and inching closer. "Sorry  but I  don't  think I can do this anymore" i say pushing him away. "Oh thats  okay  but tell when your  ready yeah?" he asks. I just nod my head as he closes the door.

Jake :

I don't  know  how  I'm  feeling  now  but before i have a chance to think about it i see Dave. "Hey Jake girlfriend angry at you?" he says inching closer. I clench my fists and stand back. "I'll  take her from you, she's  all mine" he continues.  "Don't  you get how much  you  hurt  her Kate hates  you!!" I yell punching him in the face. But suddenly i see the rest off his gang toward me and something hard hits my head. I feel really dizzy and try to fight back but  i drift  into  unconsciousness.

Kate:

After Jake walked out i curled  up into a ball and i don't  plan  on doing anything  anytime soon. But i could hear his voice a few minutes ago or is it just me? I'll go check anyway just in case, i grab my phone and head outside. I see Dave and his gang running away and i turn to see Jake lying  unconscious  in a very sickening amount of blood. "Mum!" i yell bending over and grabbing Jakes hand. "No please be okay" i whisper as mum comes running out the front door.
