Lost and in love

Chapter 23: I was gone and now she's gone

I wake up in a dark and cold room wait since when did I fall asleep. I try to get up but realize I've been chained to the wall. I hear someone walking in "oh good your not dead" she says "i wanted to put you in pain and than kill you" the girl adds giving me an evil smile.

"Why have you taken me? and why do you want to kill me?" i yell trying to break free from the chains. "I have taken you for revenge'' then a tear slips down her cheek. "Jake was meant to be mine but you took him" she says yelling now. Her body's physically shaking and what does she mean by Jake was meant to be mine.

All of a sudden the girl lunges at me her fingernails dig into my skin and i wince. "Now your ugly and he'll hate you because your not pretty anymore" she snarls. Then she tries to choke me but i kick in the stomach and she falls over in pain.

"You know what I've engured more than enough pain and i can make it through this with Jake by my side. He'll hate you" i say in the most confident voice i can manage. "He'll never be yours and capturing me won't make him love you" i yell just as i feel myself slip into unconsciousness.

Jake:

Me and Tom are hanging out at my place and playing Call of Duty when my phone starts ringing. I grab the phone to check who it is and see Heidi flash on the screen.

I suddenly feel scared because she doesn't call unless somethings happened to Kate. I pick it up after the fouth ring. "Hello?" i say.

"Jake we were at the mall and Kate has disappeared, she won't answer her phone" Heidi adds in worried tone.

I gasp and drop my phone i had already bought her a ring for Christmas  it would've been perfect and now she's gone.

Tom gets up and grabs it "Jake please calm down we won't find her if you panic".

"Well where do you think she might be?" Tom ask her and puts it on speaker.

"I don't know" Heidi answers in a shaky voice.

"With Dave" i say "he probably took her lets go find her" i finish pulling on a shirt and jeans because i was wearing tracks and a singlet.

"Bye Heidi" Tom says and don't worry we'll find her.

I grab my wallet and phone and head downstairs.

I'm about to twist the door handle when i feel a hand on my shoulder. "Jake where are you going?" mum says when i turn around.

"To find Kate, mum i need to find her" i plead.

"Well who's driving you?" she asks

"Uh i was thinking of hiring a taxi" i say

My mum hands me some money "now go call me if you need anything" she says worridly.

I'll come with you Tom says following me out the door.

I call the taxi company and get it to come straight to my house.

It arrives about 10 minutes later. We head inside and i give him the address to Dave's house.

After about 15 minutes we get there "thanks" i say handing the driver some money. "Now please wait" i say closing the door.

I angrily knock on the door and Dave opens. Oh Jake and Tom what a lovely suprise. I grab him by the collar and push him inside.

Tom close it i say turning to Dave.

Don't get to happy were not here to hang out i yell.

"Wheres Kate what did you do to her this time?".

"I swear I'll have your head if something happens to her" i threaten.

"Well it wasn't just my idea" he starts

"What do you mean?" i ask

"Your secret lover has her" he answers

"Well where is she?  you must know" i say slamming his head into the wall.

"Ok I'll give you a clue where no trees grow and it's always dark, there sits your Princess  with a chain so tight that it leaves marks on her skin. If you work out the first letter of the girls name than you can have Kate back but until than you have 5 days until we get rid of her since she doesn't want me" he finishes.

Really your not going to tell me where she is? I ask

"Yeah" he answers just as i lunge at him ready to kill him.

"Jake don't" Tom pleads but when he realizes that I'm not going to stop he pulls me away.

Then Dave's phone starts ringing and he picks it up. "Hey i can't say your name because Jakes here".

"Oh can i talk to him?" i hear her squeal and a cold chill goes down my spine.

I take the phone off him "where's Kate? what are you doing to her?" i yell.

"Oh Jakey i finally get to talk to you, I'll get rid of Kate and than we can be together" she says with a sigh.

No were never never going to be together get that through your head! i say to her.

"But Jakey...." the girl starts as i press the end button.

I throw Dave's phone on the ground and push him to a side before storming out of the door.

"Why can't they just leave us alone" i tell Tom once we're back in the taxi.

I tell the driver to drop Tom off at his house and than i head home. As i open the door and head inside mum comes running towards me and pulls me into a hug. I know your not okay and you really need this she whispers. 

"I'm exhausted it's like god doesn't want us together" i say heading to the kitchen. 

Mum sits opposite me "no it's just that your going to face problems and you will get through them together no matter what".

"Now I'm going to get you some dinner" she says getting up.

"I don't want to eat anything" i answer don't bother.

"Jake your going to eat"  she says raising her voice.

"No mum i don't feel like it, Kate probably doesn't have food and a warm bed and I'm about to eat sorry i can't" i say heading upstairs to my room.

I take a quick shower and head to bed. I start thinking of who this girl is. Hmm i did have this girl that always followed me but what was her name again?

Kate:

It's been two days and my back is stiff from sleeping on the concret. I'm also really hungry. I hope someone finds me soon. Suddenly the girl skips in excitedly and i stare at her.

"I talked to Jake she squeals" and i wince.

"And?" what did he say

"He told me to give you back because right now he's looking for you like crazy" she tells me.

"Well why don't you just let me go and you and Dave can be together" i suggest.

"Would you want someone else instead of Jake?" she suddenly asked.

"If he didn't care than yes don't you get it Jake doesn't like you and doing this won't exactly help" i tell her honestly.

Suddenly someone starts banging on the door and i feel a glimmer of hope.
