Warframe

Stalker x Reader: Marked

Gender: Female

(Y/N)'S POV

I looked over an empty, watery plane. Nothing was here except for a giant, shapeless hole in the ground, making a waterfall silently stream down. A single rail prevented me from stepping any closer to the waterfall. Nearly all of me felt deaf with the silence. All I could hear was the sound my feet and of the dress when I walked. The dress was the last thing I wore before he got me. It was a long dress, colored a dark blue with golden-yellow designs. My warframe had gotten the dress for me. I don't know what made him but he did.

"So? What'cha think?" I asked, revealing myself with the dress on. "There's too much at the top..."

"You're the one who bought it," I laughed. "I know, but..."

"I love it."

Footsteps came closer to me. I knew all too well who it was. "I thought I told you to stay away," I told him.

He stepped closer. "Can't," he said, rather simply.

"You're the infomouse Stalker. You can find your way out."

The Stalker moved closer to me, walked into a distance I couldn't agree with. "Not without you—" Almost immediately, I took out the only weapon I had, a sword, and neared it to his throat.

"You took everything from me! You took my friends, my family. You took my Frame, my Rhino. You took my life... You took the very last breath I could take."

"You know how I feel, then."

"No... you're not dead. You're still alive. You only choose to come here in your sleep. If I could, I would take you to the depths of Hell with me."

The Stalker shook his head. "I've been dead for far too long."

"If you need me, then why kill me?" I asked, sword still against his neck.

"I needed to make sure you are with me at any cost."

"Why?"

"You're the beloved Operator. You led, they followed. Both Operator and Warframe followed without question of your actions," he said as he pushed away the sword.

"They knew my morality."

"But not all of you. Not like I do."

"... What do you mean?"

"I know all of you. I know all your insecurities, all your secrets, and all those things you call 'feelings'. You can fool everyone, but not me."

"Why?"

"It's what I do."

"But why?! Why do you do it?"

"Because they took everything from me! What they took, I'll take back. And you are just the beginning."

When he told me those words, it felt like my heart dropped down to my stomach. Heavy pain struck me, and I knew this wouldn't be the end of it.

I sat in the middle of a dark room, heavily chained around my wrists and ankles, a gag around my mouth. The chains were long and loose, but they didn't allow me to roam far. In the distance, I heard the Lotus's voice echoing through the halls. Along with her voice were four pairs of feet roaming around the facility. I heard them end the lives of many Corpus enemies in the distance. Gradually, they came closer. By the time they passed the door, I heard the Lotus's voice loud and clear. "Wait," she said, stopping the two pairs of feet. There was a bit of a pause. "Someone's beyond that door... Be careful." The large doors in front of me opened. The light beyond the door didn't reach my face. The Stalker, who was nearby, somehow was able to manipulate my voice. "Help me! I'm chained!"
