Thursday, The War Room, 11:30 am, Jin's POV:

- The plan had worked, you had seen first-hand in his strategy meetings that Monie had very quickly started to win the war, which was fantastic. But you had been right to worry about Sehun's insanity buffer leaving.

- Almost the moment Baekhyun had left the palace, Sehun had seemed to lose all interest in the war. He wouldn't leave you alone at all now, and made you eat dinner alone with him every night, take walks with him along the shore, and other awful things. At least before, he had spent his evenings with Baekhyun and you had gotten some peace.

- "Your Majesty! Are you listening?" Mark's annoyed voice said from the other side of the table, and you automatically replied, "Yes, what?"

- A second later, you realized that he obviously hadn't been speaking to you, but you decided to glare at him anyway. "Not you, your majesty. King Sehun, are you hearing anything I'm saying?" he asked, sounding even more irritated and looking to your left.

- Sehun was plainly ignoring him, and you glanced over to see him watching you, not even facing the table. He had a leg over the armrest of his chair and his arms were crossed, but he smiled the moment he noticed you looking.

- "Sehuna, your minion is speaking to you," you said coolly, snapping your fingers in front of his face before turning back to look at Mark. Whatever it took to get him to stop staring at you like that.

- "What?" Sehun hissed. He was up out of his chair and pacing around the room faster than you realized was technically possible.

- "I said, we've received reports that Lord Baekhyun is still sending word to his agents. He is just refusing to tell us anything they say," Mark replied, and your heart almost stopped beating.

- Sehun stopped pacing for barely a second, and then he said sharply, "Bring him to me, now. Tell Sanghyuk to get him. He's fucking tiny, if he says he won't come, just pick him up and drag him back here."

- No, no, no! He couldn't be ruining your perfect plan in so little time! This couldn't be happening! You had to stop him from bringing Baekhyun back, and quickly!

- "Sehunaaa," you whined, doing your absolute best to hide your panic. You acted annoyed instead, and continued, "Why does he have to come back and spoil our nice time? Don't let him, he was so rude to you!"

- Sehun stopped pacing again, glancing over at you with a such a pitiable look of longing on his face that, despite your growing anxiety, you almost laughed. "Jinnie... I need to find out what he's up too," he replied, sounding genuinely conflicted.

- You pretended to pout, crossing your arms and legs, staring pointedly in the opposite direction as you said, "Just lock him up somewhere! He is in the castle you gave him, right? Just lock him up there and guard him to make sure he doesn't communicate with anyone."

- No one said anything for a few seconds, and then Sehun exclaimed in a pleading tone, "I still need to know who he was talking to in the first place and what he told them!"

- That obviously hadn't worked, but you kept trying. "Well, have Sanghyukkie find out for you. He's always been good at that sort of thing, from what I remember," you replied.

- Lord Sanghyuk was one of Sehun's childhood friends. You had known him rather well when the two of you were engaged, but he hadn't shown up during your time here. He had always been a bit of a sneaky person, and he kind of freaked you out, if you were honest.

- "Sanghyuk will get Baekhyun if I ask him too, but he won't tell me anything. They have some kind of ridiculous secret pact," Sehun huffed, turning away from you before adding, "It's just easier to have Baekhyun here."
