Chester's POV
My phone buzzed, I secretly prayed that it was Grace. I had started looking at her in a different way in the last couple of months. I knew that she probably wouldn't go for a guy like me, but I figured ' why not try?'. I slowly picked up my phone, nervous for what her response was. What am I thinking? It might not even be her! I scanned the locked screen of my phone and saw that it was p, in fact, from Grace.
She had said yes to my proposal to hang out. My stomach jumped. Calm down Chester. She only sees us as friends. That's all we'll ever be. Ugh! It sucked liking someone and them not liking you back. I felt like I was back in high school, and having a crush on the head cheerleader. I couldn't help it though. Every time I saw Grace, whether it was in person, or in her videos, my heart fluttered.
I texted her back, agreeing to meet her at 12:30 tomorrow. I was so excited, I felt like a kindergarten kid before their first day of school, nervous but excited at the same time.

The next morning
I woke up extra early, so I could spend time getting ready for my date-No Chester it's not a date! with Grace. I jumped out of bed, picked out an outfit and started styling my hair. I know, I know, it shouldn't take me that long to do, but today, I wanted to look my best. I checked my watch, it was 11:45. I had tons of time. I went to the kitchen to get myself some breakfast. I looked through all the cupboards and I couldn't find anything appealing. I was too nervous to eat. So I just sat there, on my phone, waiting for the time to pass.

Grace's POV
I was ready to go see Chester. My hair was curled, my makeup was better than usual, and I had picked a perfect outfit. I don't know why I was trying so hard today. Any other times I had seen Chester, I hadn't dressed up as much. I guess it's because he's single now. Now at least I have a 0.5 percent chance instead of a 0. I checked my phone, it was 12:10.
I got into my car and headed in the direction of the restaurant we were meeting up at. I felt my nervousness get stronger and stronger the closer I got. I always had a good time with Chester , he was funny and nice, so I didn't know why I got so nervous around him. It's because you have a huge crush on him. I gulped and tried to push those thoughts out of my brain. No no no. You can't like him ,Grace, he's just a friend.
I finally arrived at the restaurant. Through the window, I could see Chester, sitting at a table by himself. He was wearing a pair of dark jeans and a blue button-up shirt that showed off his muscular build. I looked at my self one last time in the mirror, and walked towards the entrance of the restaurant nervously.
