Grace's POV

I read Chester’s message and I smiled.  I couldn’t believe that they had accepted it, I knew that they were still on the edge about the whole thing.  I respond to Chester.

That’s great :)

Then, I texted Sarah and Mamrie.

Thanks guys…

They would know what I had meant, they had just left Chester’s, so they were smart enough to make good assumptions. I smiled to myself, thanking the world for such great friends.  Even though they didn’t think this was a good idea, they still stayed supportive and heard me out.  I knew that they were just trying to protect me.

Later in the afternoon, my doorbell rung.  I went over from the couch and opened it.  Chester was standing there, in his typical jeans and tight shirt.  His hair had barely been touched and  her was unshaven.  Yet he was holding flowers, red roses to be precise.  My heart melted, knowing that he was the right choice.

“What’s the occasion, Mr. See?” I asked teasingly, as I accepted the flowers and let him in.

“There isn’t one.  But I drove by a flower shop on the way here, and I couldn’t help but buy my beautiful girlfriend some.”  he answered giving me a quick kiss.

My hand came up to lightly hover on his cheek and jaw, deepening the kiss.  He pulled back after a few seconds.

“Nope.  Not now, Gracie.” he said, pulling a grocery bag from behind him.  “Right now, I’m making you lunch.”

He smiled as he walked over to my kitchen, swinging the grocery bag like a little kid.

“So, what are we having, Chef?” I asked jokingly.  He grinned before responding.

“It’s a surprise.  Go sit down and choose a movie.  It’ll be ready in ten minutes.”

I smirked and gave him a teasing army salute.  He rolled his eyes and continued chopping whatever was on the chopping board.  My heart fluttered, could he get any sweeter? After ten minutes, he walked over with the plate behind his back.  I smiled up at him and he brought the plate in front of me.  It was the most ginormous sandwich I had ever seen.

“Oh my God, Chester.” I laughed. “That is the biggest sandwich I’ve ever seen.  It looks great though.” He took out his phone, and took a picture.  He typed quickly into his phone, probably instagraming it, knowing him. He split the sandwich in half and each had one half.  I hadn’t even eaten half of my piece and I was already full.  I put it back on the plate and logged into my Netflix account.  I chose a movie that looked interesting enough.  I nudged Chester showing him my movie choice.  He nodded, his mouth still full of sandwich. He put down his sandwich and opened his arms, letting me lie my head on his chest.  I pressed play, then snuggled into his arms.  He held me tighter, kissing me on the top of my head.

“I love you, Gracie.” he said softly.

“I love you too.” I responded, turning to face him.
