Chapter 12- A Different Kind of Bromance

Bill's P.O.V.-

Joe and I have spent the last hour in the dark, watching a screen, and killing zombies. At first, when he came over and asked me for advice I got scared, but he is really nice and it feels good to help him. I will have to say, that he is terrible at Xbox. He keeps getting frustrated so maybe I'll let him win. Just as Joe is about to win, his phone rings. I pause the game as he answers it. I hear a faint scream come from the phone. "Maria, calm down! What's the matter?! Are you okay?"

He is so sweet! He's all protective of Maria! I hear more screams coming from the phone.

"Okay, bye." he says gently as he slowly puts down his phone. He sighs and then turns to me.

"I need some more advice."

"What happened?"

"Oh it's just that R5 showed up to the sleepover and Maria is fangirling!" he gives me a look that says, 'I told you so!'

"Oh."

"What am I gonna do?"

"Hey, remember what I said? She likes you and only you. Okay?"

" Okay."

"but she loves Ross..." I mutter under my breath but he hears me and smacks me in the arm then frowns.

"LOOK AT ME!" I say shaking his shoulders. He looks at me with a depressed look on his face. "She doesn't love me!" This time I slap him in the face. "Repeat after me: She loves me and onky me!"

"She loves me and only me."

"LOUDER!"

"She loves me and only me!!"

"I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"

"SHE LOVES ME AND ONLY ME!"

"That's the spirit!"

"Woah! Thanks, I feel much better! "

"Wait really?"

"Well y-yes a-and no. Yes, you gave me good advice and helped me and no, when you slapped me it hurt." Then he punched me in the arm so I decided to mess with him.

"Ow!" I scream to get his attention.

"I'm so sorry!" I pretend to keep rubbing my arm with a pained look on my face. "Why did you do that?!"

"I don't know! Maybe to get back at you for slapping me?! Did it really hurt that much?!" he started to panic.

I stop rubbing my arm and put a calmed look on my face. "No, not really. I just wanted to see your reaction. Man, you are way to gullible. You might want to control that around Maria."

"Don't do that again!" he says, lightly hitting me trying not to make that mistake again.

"You and Grace are a lot alike." I say.

"Yeah we are really close." -I frown- "We are like brother and sister." Phew!

"How long have you two known each other."

"Since 4th grade."

"Wow"

"Yup, a year right after I met you. That was one of the best days ever."

I felt something weird in my stomach, a nice feeling nonetheless.

"Do you want to eat something?' I ask. "There is new food from yesterday."

"No, I'm good. But it's late so I'll just go home." I was about to protest but I decide against it. He puts on his jacket and heads for the door when I say, "Ok just text me when you get there."

"Ok mom."

"And be careful driving!" I say in a girly voice. He chuckles then leaves and I feel to lazy to get into bed so I just fall asleep on the couch.

Ryland's P.O.V.-

Everybody else in the house is sound asleep, except for me. I can't stop thinking about that girl, Grace. She was so cute, and I almost asked her out, but then she said that she had a date with some other guy. She would probably never go out with me anyway. I should just stop thinking about it. With that I fall asleep.

Grace's P.O.V.-

I wake up to the sound of laughing and giggling. I look over and see Maria and Rydel talking.

"Good morning Grace!" they both say in unison.

"Good morning!"

"Soooo, when are you gonna go on your special date with Colin?!" Maria asks eager.

"Oh my gosh, it's not that big of a deal. I don't really even know him, I just said hello."

"That 'hello' could be the start of something huge!"

"Like what?"

"You guys could, like, end up really liking each other, and then you could fall in love, get married, have kids, and grow old together!"

"Oh, shut up," I say as I throw my pillow at Maria's face. She just laughs.

"Hey! You never know." Rydel adds.

"Besides, we haven't really said when we were gonna hang out."

"How about today?!" I hear Dianne say. I wonder how long she has been awake?

"Can I give you a makeover?" Rydel asks.

"And can I do your hair?" Dianne asks.

"And I can watch." Maria adds.

We all laugh as I reply, "Fine."
