[Erin’s POV]

I walk away to go catch up with the others, I can still feel his eyes on me, but looking ahead I see Zack looking back as well. All Agent Volant told me was that I shouldn’t be spying on the head of an espionage organization. Not because I couldn’t but because he is the head for a reason and knows what he is doing. I walk up to Zack and we continue to follow the others.

“So what did you hear?” he asks. Oh, Mel must have told him when she walked away.

I shrug my shoulders and say, “Not much, just fragments of their conversation. From what I could hear, it was Agent Cadwell speaking. I heard the words ‘teenagers’ ‘fatal’ and ‘hostage’.”

Looking over at Zack, he has his hands in his pockets and he is staring straight ahead, his mouth folded into a thin line, probably thinking about the words. “Maybe there’s a teenager who is being held hostage somewhere, probably here in Canada.”

Maybe it has something to do with the extra security I saw on the news in Toronto the other day,” I suggest.

“Maybe that’s where they’ll send us first,” Zack concludes shrugging. At this point it doesn’t really matter. We aren’t even trained yet and CSIS can take care of itself. All we are going to have time for is training and school, I’m just happy I only have two months of school left, although my sister finishes next week.

As soon as Zack and I catch up with the others, Agent Red faces us and starts to speak, “The doors to my left and right are change rooms for the agents here. You are now officially rookies here and will use these to change into your training outfits.”

“Training outfits?” Jacky asks.

Agent Red seems a little annoyed by the question and sighs deeply, bringing his hand up to rub his temples, “Yes, you all will have to wear these.” He turns around and gets nine sets of clothes and starts handing them out to us. Mine, along with everyone else’s except Zack and Zane’s, consists of black yoga plants and shorts with a grey tank top.

Looking back up at Agent Red, I see he is standing with no emotion on his face, none that I can see anyway, he still has the sunglasses on. “We need you to wear these so we can keep an eye on the muscles you will be developing, to make sure they develop right, and to prevent any injuries you may sustain. Now go change and meet me in the training room just beyond the doors behind me.” With a nod of his head he turns around and walks outside, heading to the building just beyond the doors like he said.

Without a word we all travel into the change rooms and start changing into the clothes we were given. Along the walls of the change room are green lockers and sitting in the center is a small rectangular bench. I put my hair into a tight ponytail along with the others and slip on the black yoga pants and grey tank top. I see Jade, Sophia and Bonny have done the same while Jacky, Mel and Kim have on the shorts.

“You guys ready for this?” I ask.

“Ye-” Kim starts, but before she can finish her sentence, a huge explosion rocks the room and knocks me onto the ground. I am a little dazed as I look around, my pulse starts to race and I look around for any sign of danger as a thought enters my head. Hecate must be attacking. I did not sign up to be scared to death on my first day here or attacked on it either! I try to calm my nerves but it doesn’t work, my head is playing scenarios of the worst thing that can be happening right now. Looking around, still shaking, I see everything in the room is okay, nothing breaking, just some dust falling from the ceiling. The explosion must have been father than it sounds.
