she said she didnt care
what people said about her
but as i looked into her eyes
i saw that her mother's deliberate claws of comments
had scraped their way onto her skin,
her father's lack of stating her beauty
shown with the dangerous amounts of make up
coating her face,
her brother's snide remarks
on her weight
had caused her to stop eating,
her sister's heavy looks of disappointment
became the clothes
she used to hide herself,
her 'so-called' friends' silent whisperings
of her obnoxiousness
zipped her mouth shut,
her last boyfriend's compliment
on her sucking abilities
choked her with too many
one night stands.
