Nick

The fifth whistle since we left Abby's apartment rings through the air and I clench my jaw. Abby was mine, no one else's. They shouldn't be cat calling her like that. I glance down at Abigail and her cheeks were a light pink. I noticed her hand was gripped tightly onto Brandon's like she was nervous, scared even. She clung to him like he was her Superman. I guess he was, to her at least, they grew up together.

To be honest I never really knew much about Abigail and Brandon's relationship. Yeah they were siblings, but they seemed tighter than any other siblings I've met. Even Zion and Keke weren't this close.

Of course Brandon talked about his sisters, but it was mostly based around Halie, rarely Abigail. The only time he kind of opened up about her was three years ago when she moved here, but even then, it was basic facts like her birthday, what she liked to do, her favorite foods.

When we finally get to Denny's we quickly find a seat and go over the menu. Abigail sat in the middle of all of us in a circular table. Brandon sat to the left of her while I sat on the right. Zion and Austin were beside Brandon while Edwin sat beside me.

Abigail sat with her arm looped through Brandon's and her head on his shoulder. She was messing with her phone while Brandon talked to Zion and Austin about

"Why are you guys so close?" I suddenly ask looking at Brandon. He gives a somewhat nervous chuckle.

"Abigail's my little sister. Shouldn't we be close?"

"Yeah, that was a dumb question..." I sigh and look back to my phone only to receive a message a minute later.

Brando🐝: That's a touchy subject for Abby, she'll open up to you about stuff sooner or later.

I glance over at Brandon and nod. He does the same back before turning back Austin.

After we pay for our food we all begin to head out. Abigail comes to my side intertwining our fingers tightly. I smile as I look down at Abigail, her beautiful brown eyes stare right back at me. "You are adorable." I say causing Abigail to smile widely and laugh.

"Thank you Nicholas."

"Hey sis!" Brandon jogs back to Abigail's aide and she looks up.

"What?"

"When do you start filming for your next movie?"

"Oh crap..." Abigail's hand detaches from mine as she reaches in her bag for her phone. She pulls it out and I watch as she opens Calendar. Abigail groans loudly as her head falls back. "In a week, but I have a script reading thing in two days. I'm sorry B, I thought I had more time." I bite my lip looking at the ground. Abigail is going to be so busy that she won't have time for us.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to." I hear Brandon jog off and I sigh as I look back at Abigail with sad eyes.

"Nick, I'm sorry."

"I-Its fine Abby."

"No it's not, I should've told you. I forgot and now I'm going to busy all the time and we won't have time to hang out."

"Your reading is in two days right?" I ask. Abigail nods biting her lip. I stop walking and Abigail stops beside me. "Will you go on a date with me tomorrow?"

"W-What?"

"I was going to plan this big thing, but I don't really have the time anymore, so will you go on a date with me tomorrow night?"

"Of course, Nick!" Abigail wraps her arms around my shoulders and pulls me close. My cheeks begin to flush and I hold Abigail's small frame in my arms. I truly love this girl.
