Pizza x Cassata; Scares

Also warning this is going to get kinda sad, so sorry...

"Cassata! Cheese did it again!" Pizza yelled for Cassata when he found him near the apple tree. Pizza tackled him to the ground and just looked back at Cheese with a horrified look on his face.
"Don't listen to him! I didn't do anything!"
"Liar! You're holding the mask and carrying a sledgehammer!"
Cheese dropped both items and looked at Pizza with a blank face. "No I'm not." She turned to Cassata and showed a huge grin. "Now, I'm going back to the town to help Master Attendant with the restaurant. Bye!" She wasn't even done with her sentence when she began to run back down the hill back to Gloriville.
Pizza began to cry a little bit, and it took Cassata awhile to realize the position they were in. Pizza's arms were wrapped around Cassata's waist, his head on his chest, and they were both still on the ground. Realizing the only way to get him off was to calm him down, Cassata began to rub circles on Pizza's back.
"It's alright Pizza, she left and you know it wasn't real," chuckling a little he added, "And what intimidating masked murder has a soft voice and attacks during broad daylight. Moreover in a frilly dress?"
   Pizza just clung on to Cassata's scarf and waist a little tighter, but still looked at him in the eye, with tears in his. "B-but you're supposed to be protecting me, and stop laughing!"
Just showing him his usual smile he Cassata replied. "Yes but now I'm back, so smile Pizza!"
The blonde Food Soul stopped crying, and after realizing he was looking down at Cassata, his face grew red. "UWAH!!!" Jumping off of Cassata, he apologized, but his face still grew red. "It was because of Cheese, Cassata! She's always pulling pranks, especially when you're not around! And, and-"
"Your face is red."
"N-No it's no- Ow!" Cassata flicked him on the head. "Cassata! What was that for?"
The Food Soul just grinned, and flicked him again. "It's hard to believe that you were able to attack with a lot of power once, now your scared of a frilly 'murderer' and losing to a small tap on your forehead." He walked around Pizza and picked up his hat that fell when he tackled Cassata. "Here, Cheese took your flag, by the way."
Pizza wiped away his dried tears and tried to calm down. Taking his hat back, he looked down so he could avoid Cassata's gaze. "...Thanks Cassata..." He then gathered enough courage to look him in the eye once more and said, "But now you're always protecting me! I always feel like i'm bothering you... even when you say it's alright." Putting his hat back on, he turned away from Cassata and faced the direction of the restaurant. "Let's go..."
   "Hahaha..."
   "Huh? Cassata, why are you laughing?"
   "Come on!" He pushed Pizza's hat down so it covered his eyes. "Do you really think I don't want to protect you?"
   "W-what?! C-Cassata I-"
   While Pizza's hat was down, Cassata wrapped his arms around him, confusing him and causing his blush to return. "I like protecting you from Cheese, or anything that scares you really." This time, Cassata had a light blush of his own. "I like it when you're dependent on me, that's why I say it's alright..." Releasing Pizza from his embrace, Cassata put his hands on Pizza's shoulders, while Pizza re-adjusted his hat.
"W-what..?"
Cassata smiled and, like it was something he would do every other day, leaned in and kissed Pizza.
   His eyes widened, but eventually, he melted into the kiss, but as quickly as it happened, Cassata pulled away.
   "I-I-I U-Uh-"
   "Hahaha! You're adorable! Come on Pizza, I love you, what about you?" Cassata held onto Pizza's hands. "Do you love me to..?"
    Pizza smiled back Cassata, all fear wiped away at the moment, and didn't hear any rustling because he assumed it was the wind. "Yes, I love you too Cassata!"
    "Alright, Let's head back to the restaurant. Master Attendant might need us."
   "Okay! I hope Cheese doesn't scare me again..."

Bonus:
Little had they known, Cheese was behind a nearby tree the whole time, listening to their conversation. Her original plan was to scare Pizza again, but she ended up hearing the words she feared the most. She had a crush on Pizza because of his kind heartedness and will to help others, but she just heard Cassata's confession to Pizza, and she heard him accept it. Tears began to run down her face, and she clutched Pizza's flag close to her, it's vibrant colors swaying each time a breeze came. Her eyes became a little red, and she wiped away her tears.
"...Let's head back to the restaurant..."
"...Okay!.. Cheese doesn't scare me agai..."
   When Cheese heard that they were coming nearer, she looked in her hand. Her eyes were still red, and she had another mask with her. Deciding to stick to her original plan, she put the mask on so she could cover her eyes, and pretended Pizza's flag was a sword of some sort. When she heard they were close, she hoped her voice was okay, and jumped out.
   "Rawr! (XD) Pizza! I have come to finish you off!"
   "UWAH!!! CASSATA!!! THERE IS A MURDERER!!!" Pizza grabbed onto Cassata's scarf.
   "P-Pizza... You're... choking me..." His good eye then looked forward. "A-and... it's Cheese... again..."
"Huh? Ah! Sorry Cassata!" Jumping off of him, Pizza re-adjusted his hat. "W-wait! Cheese! You were here the whole time?!"
Handing Pizza his flag back, Cheese giggled. "Yep! And i'm happy for the both of you! I'm actually glad I was here now!" Turning away from them and crossing her arms, she said, " And I doubt you would have told me anyways..."
Cassata, after regaining his breath, faced Cheese. "Thanks!"
"Y-yea... thanks... can you take off that mask? It's still scaring me a little..."
"Not in the slightest Pizza! Now come on! Master Attendant must be worried by now!" Actually running back this time, Cheese made a mental note to herself to avoid Pizza and Cassata when they were together, or at least get her emotions in control.
